Yeah the important thing here isn't necessarily just that though, it's also what other benefits a football club brings beyond ACL and profit.
I'd suggest in terms of identity, recognition, and the increased spending of leisure not just in the Ricoh, but the city as a whole (OK, the last could be replaced I suppose, if ACL is profitable) a football club counts for a lot.
correct and that would be the flip side of the argument, does the benefit of having a football team in Coventry outweigh the benifit of retaining ownership of the Ricoh. It's not a straightforward issue which is why when we only get broad comments such as build a new stadium and everything will be OK or hand the Ricoh over to SISU it's very difficult to judge.
Blind hatred is when you cannot see past what is standing in front of you. The fact that people would rather the ground stay in its current ownership than go to SISU is simply daft. Effect = we stay in Northampton for years to come until we build a new ground which will not be in Coventry. Doesn't this go against KCIC???? Isn't this what we all should be aiming for regardless of who owns it??
I don't like our current owners either but I do agree that they need the ground or the club will not move forward.
