CAPSLOCK COLIN was a regular on the rivals network...
Then there was the person who inadvertently insulted Smilers daughter as she was dating another poster on GMK. (was that Curtis ?) Smiler was going to rip his head off and spit down the hole if he could ever have found out who he really was ! Was hilarious to read the obviously quite serious exchanges !

That was the UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT. It was Foo_Fighter. he didn't know that Smiler's daughter was the gf of Rofl.
That made me laugh out loud.Yes.
I remember going on the Leicester board and they were so full of themselves and so I went on to Wikipedia and edited it and said it had been announced that they were merging with the Sky Blues and that they would get to keep the City part of their name and we would get to keep the Coventry bit of ours.
I got banned from Wiki after that.
Nothing will ever beat the rivals system of just being able to jump on at any club and stir shit up.
You clearly havent used the Sunderland board ! Now that's a busy board by any stretch of the imagination.Rivals was brilliant as others have said.
Nick does a great job on here and we must be one of the busiest football forums in the country?
I am an old man cock, couldn’t care less about being abused or ignored online (gives me something to smile about). It’s not real you know. It’s just the place cyber warriors come to safely abuse people they will never have to see face to face. You know me, Otis, a few others probably came to the conclusion we were immensely boring people years ago. I hope you reach that stage soon, and find peace, but have a response to help your savaged ego
His meltdown was funny. He worked at the same place as my sister, she thought he was a twatGaz got left behind at the services iirc.
SDunne87 drove a Fiat Multipla (this was important for some reason), loved wrestling (there was a 2,000 post thread on the Oggy) and went to Hobbycraft with the family rather than attend City matches. Eventually he back a moderator. He banned Problem Chimp for quoting a line from 'In Bruges' which SDunne87 took as apersonally insult of his children.
Was he the BT engineer? His meltdown was funny. He worked at the same place as my sister, she thought he was a twat

Yea, my sister was spot onIve got him on Facebook last seen crying to leave Boris alone about corona.
Has anyone managed to resurrect the GMK thread from Wayback Machine where a poster (think it was SBAndy) was left in KFC at a service station on the way back from Bristol City away in the 2011/12 season

No he worked at Capita or TFL (doing the congestion charging) unless I've got her former jobs mixed up.Was he the BT engineer?
GMK killed itself. Unless you were in the click, if you dared to post you were abused, or worse totally ignored.
Many people just gave up and left the half dozen or so regulars to it.
You would see dozens of people viewing posts but few people commenting, hence it died. RIP
Any idea who citizens_arrest is on here or if he is even on here, he genuinely had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions? Was he originally killerumble & changed his name?Smiles wasn't beyond a multi himself, of course. I'd like to think he's here somewhere, or did he just drop off the ccfc radar when GMK died?
_brian is Badger, I'm sure if it. All his hallmarks
Yeah, one of those voucher things weren't itTowards the end of GMK he kept trying to push some sort of online shopping scam I think?
I can't remember if it was GMK or another forum I used to frequent but it had a poster named Blind Man. Every post was unintelligible. I found it funny anyway.
Definitely GMK.Was that on GMK or here? It all blends into one around that time.
No, blind man was a bit more coherentWas that Astute?
Definitely GMK.
Sorry but it was one of the funniest threads I have read! How did you get hone in the end, cannot remember...

I remember being on GMK one night and a poster who was a copper on shift said he would dole out Advice out whilst on shift , there was another fella called Carson’s Army who used to give me a bit of stick as he found out I’d gone to watch Celtic play on a few occasions
Killer rumble and his dwarf hitler melt down was a particular highlight

I whole-heartedly agree with the USSkyblue post above...
GMK in the glory days was the absolute best. Absolutely full of characters, and the ability to login to other boards on the same network made for some chaotic exchanges.
Obviously the whole Rivals network was on a downward slope. But what really did it for the GMK site was it became known as the hideout for "SISU lovers". In fact the attitude was similar to here now... that all are to blame, some more than others... but in that era, anything other than unquestioning hatred towards SISU alone, was not the accepted view for City fans. Who would have thought that those opinions and views which were ridiculed by so many, are now the general consensus (well at least on here anyway...!)
So it dwindled. Was a shame.... at Sixfields i stood behind Knowl, TexasHoldem' and the other GMK die-hards, and occasionally saw them at the Ricoh on our return, like ghosts from the past.
Absolutely no disrespect to any posters on here, or indeed to Nick, but GMK in it's heyday was a different level.
