Firstly did anyone know what Godden did? Did he point anywhere, knee, foot?

Crucial we dont lose him for a period of time. Season dependant id go as far as saying.

Linked to him but on a slight tangent, correct me of im wrong but have Hamer and Godden linked for a goal/gilt edged chance this season?

Godden and the midfield last year were almost telepathic on movement, lacking that massively this year.

People will.disagree but im still Not sold on Hamer. Gun to head and given the choice, its still Liam Walsh for me 🤷‍♂️

Pointed at the bottom of his foot. God knows what that could be, hopefully just a kick and sore / bruising rather than a bone injury.

Still stand by not buying into the Hamer hype yet

I definitely get where you're coming from, at the moment he doesn't seem to be fully linking up. Perhaps it's from having to adjust to a new style of play, new position (wasn't he playing RB at Zwolle?).

He does have a lot of good qualities though, like his range of passing is immense, and those set pieces 🤤 i think he'll just need a bit of time to adjust.

My memory is terrible, but I'm sure it took a little while for Walshy to settle in, or am I talking bollocks?

You've not seen Walsh at this level at it's a false comparison

Took a fair few games for us to start seeing Walsh anywhere near his best and he cost us a few points at the beginning. People berated him on here for it!

Hamer is playing against opposite numbers often worth 5-10 times what we paid for him and although he's not the finished article, he doesn't look out of place.

Hamer played with more self control last night, and niggled away without histrionics, thus avoiding the ref's wrath. Good to see.
