I still haven't forgiven the council for turning down Foo Fighters.Until they get Metallica as the headline act I'll give it a miss !
Think this is the worst of both worlds. Charging loses the USP of the event as the largest free festival in Europe. But they aren't charging enough to allow them to improve the bands they're booking.£2 entry this year
£10 for parking, i expect the streets round there to be rammed
Could use the park & ride at the Memorial Park...I have no problem at a with the £2 entry fee, but do think £10 to park is a bit steep.
There's not in Finham and Stivichall though. Bad enough already when its on and zero effort from the council to do anything about people who have parked blocking driveways and entrances. Charging people £10 to park will just make it once unless they bring in temporary restrictions. There are restricted zones all over earlsdon with instant fines
Good to see the organisers were paying attention! Feeder headlining the Saturday.Any early shouts for next years headliner?
Going with the mainstream indie / rock band theme that seems to be the criteria for Saturday headliners I'd love to see the Manics there but they are probably too big. More realistically Feeder or Ash would suit me.

Sugarhill Gang, Melle Mel and Scorpio?
All we need now is The CoralReef have just been added to the line-up.
Yeah and we do already have a band from Wales in Feeder. All we need now is The Coral
Really? When was that?I still haven't forgiven the council for turning down Foo Fighters.
Said it for years that they should be charging something like this and get some decent bands instead of yesterday’s washed up acts. Besides, it would stop the likes of Jak Hickman and the like attending.I’m paying £46 for Nottingham ffestival and perfectly happy... let’s charge £40 and get decent bands and family stuff in.
The whole thing about the Godiva is the festival for all feel, which I'm afraid involves booking "washed up has beens" for us oldies to watch, aswell as up and coming acts for the young uns, keep it free or as near as for me. Plenty of festivals with mega acts out there to relieve people of their cash.

Jeez! They missed a trick there. Don’t live in Cov so that’s why I wouldn’t have really heard about it.The council were offered Radio 1's Big Weekend in 2011 and turned it down, was held in Carlisle instead.
