I've bookmarked 'twohundredpercent' - always well-researched and thought provoking sports journalism from Ian.

Imagine FC Coventry - a Limited Company (not plc) founded and financed by main shareholder Preston Haskell IV, with small share issues available to supporters as the club progresses up the league pyramid.

What's to stop us playing at the Ricoh, especially if PHIV buys the 50% Higgs share in ACL? (Club, shareholders, ACL, supporters, CCCouncil all singing from the same hymn sheet.)

Think of the support we could call on from past players and managers - John Sillett, Bobby Gould, and the Former Players Association.

Think of the general support from the 'football community' as a whole.

Instead of a dismal 70-mile round trip to see SISU Covhampton Town FC struggling in League 1/getting relegated, how about seeing FC Coventry play some attractive attacking football at the Ricoh instead? With a few promotions thrown into the bargain? And cheaper ticket prices which rise gradually as we climb the league pyramid?

Pie in the sky? Or the only real alternative to Sisu's 'masterplan'?

Cracking article!

This is it, a "team" might well play at Northampton, but the "club" doesn't have to, that is you.

A football club without its fans might well be a football team, or a football related company. A ‘club’, however, it is not. The fans are the ‘club’ and not one – not SISU, not the Football League, not anybody – can take that from them.

It's not pie in the sky, Sisu taking ccfc to Northampton has effectively killed the club for most of us. Coventry Football Club playing in sky blue in whatever league at the Ricoh will be the future if the football league don't grow a pair.

Was about to post this myself.

Should be read by every City fan. I fully agree with the bloke and I would be behind a new club in Coventry.

Interesting to see a well written analysis from a completely impartial observer that so well sums up the feelings of many of us.
