We had MR and AV holding us together. Not a smart position to be in business wise if any of them decided to leaveHe could have maintained the best coaching setup in the league instead of deciding he knew best and appointing a bunch of nobodies with no experience, some of them equal to or over Robins. He’s not just sat there signing cheques then checked the league table today, he’s been far more involved than most owners in probably the one setup in the country that needed it the least outside Man City.

Got to think long term
I really can’t help but aim vitriol at our ‘captain’, to be honest. Everyone will just buy into the party line that he’s ’the best midfielder in the Championship’ and the problem is, Sheaf now believes he is.
Injuries, complacency, poor performances and a total dearth of actual, tangible leadership qualities on the field…I just feel that he gets off very, very lightly, in this mess.
I don’t doubt his talent, it’s his application and attitude that has contributed to a great deal of the issues on-field.
question - what makes the coaches ‘sub-standard’ if they’ve got the requisite uefa qualifications to do the job? Perception of the players? Or just differences in the coaches methods themselves?
just looked this up - both Adi and Dennis are uefa pro licence holders.
George Boateng also has a uefa pro licence, the other three all have the A licence.
Adi was doing youth teams at Chelsea before he came here so not dissimilar.
You are becoming tiresome. This may be the dumbest thing you’ve said in a long line of dumb things.
“He might go one day so best to sack him now”
BRB off to murder my parents as they’ll die one day.
Heard it said but haven't seen names....I've been an idiot if I've missed the postSomeone (Saddle I think) said Sheaf was one of them. @Saddlebrains ?
Plus, it was stated ‘some of the new players’ and this is about the third or fourth time I’ve seen this. Take your pick.
You are becoming tiresome.
I am saying DK needed to implement a long lasting structure. Robins was unfortunately collateral damage.
It's a crying shame but I'm more hopeful for the future with DK and no robins this I was with sisu and robins as manager. And that's coming from someone who obviously loved robins and stood up for sisu alot so defiantly not a hater of old guard
A structure that depended on individuals slotBut he had the longest lasting structure in the league? With sustained success? He's systematically destroyed the lot of it to install his own guys because it's Doug King's Coventry Ciddy now and fuck the existing structure if he can't take credit for it.
And if it's not broke, don't try and fix it !!But he had the longest lasting structure in the league? With sustained success? Depends?A structure that depended on individuals slot
New one should bring consistency even when people leave.
He wouldn't implement it if there were no pros to it and just cons end of the day
Ok fair do’s Adi was at a much higher level and won stuff.Viveash was at Chelsea for six years after an 18 year playing career, Carr (who has deleted his LinkedIn lol) was at the Irish Women’s team for 18 months with a background in fitness. Boateng apparently let go by Villa U21s then assistant at Ghana where they failed to qualify out of their group.
Qualifications are an extremely loose indicator of quality.question - what makes the coaches ‘sub-standard’ if they’ve got the requisite uefa qualifications to do the job? Perception of the players? Or just differences in the coaches methods themselves?

Covendryit's Doug King's Coventry Ciddy now
Covendry
Ok fair do’s Adi was at a much higher level and won stuff.
Carr was also at Bristol city, wolves and also teaches on the uefa B course.
but if we’re going on track record, how do coaches progress along a career path if they aren’t given opportunities at higher levels?
I think DK has a big problem with the next appointment - does he go for a proven winner to get us promoted? If so there’s not many/no-one available?
or does he do an Ipswich or Birmingham and give a relatively unknown coach a first opportunity at the level and see if it works - because if that’s the case there’s gonna be a lot of people unhappy.
What do you mean by that specifically? As I've stated until blue in the face but as per got shot down
King gave Robins enough rope to hang himself
You would have thought with some of the names being thrown around people would start realising what we’ve done…I'm still absolutely gutted about the sacking
I'm still absolutely gutted about the sacking
Bring back Tim fisher?I’ll say it again, it’s almost like having a chairman with zero football knowledge isn’t a good idea.
Some people are so desperate to be "right" they'll accept any old shit we get thrown now though. You would have thought with some of the names being thrown around people would start realising what we’ve done…
Bring back Tim fisher?
I’d rather not be owned by anyone connected to a hedge fund! I really do think King should have someone running the club on his behalf/properly advising him.Bring back Tim fisher?
Ok that's fair but I'm not sure we can say things are worse than when we had sisu?I’d rather not be owned by anyone connected to a hedge fund! I really do think King should have someone running the club on his behalf/properly advising him.
Is it not an identical play this time round or similar?Ok that's fair but I'm not sure we can say things are worse than when we had sisu?
Ok that's fair but I'm not sure we can say things are worse than when we had sisu?
No, we can’t. Towards the end we were running out of money and would have sold Vik and Hamer in January and not reached the PO final. He does need someone who understands the game though and take more of a backseat role, IMO.Ok that's fair but I'm not sure we can say things are worse than when we had sisu?
Im pretty sure he made them agree to that as a condition for returning.1 thing is worse, they didn't interfere in the playing side, at least not when Robins returned.
King cant keep his beak out, and the errors he's making could be significant.
Huh?Is it not an identical play this time round or similar?
But when they hired wrong managers the system didn't work did it? Got lucky with robins.1 thing is worse, they didn't interfere in the playing side, at least not when Robins returned.

Speeded up Ranson era?Huh?
