Get exactly the same result on Yahoo too, CCFC = Coventry City.

Google just goes by the highest global or UK hits doesn't it?

CCFC has always come up as Coventry City for me.

Google knows who has been searching for sheep porn, and thus puts Cardiff higher in ranking for those users.

Might have already been said but its all to do with temporary internet files and cookies. Basically, it tries to create a search list custom made to your previous searches and where your IP address originates. If you clear your cache, you may find it will show Cardiff as the top result.

Google checks your location and brings up the most relevant information. If you live nearer to Coventry ccfc will bring us up, nearer to Cardiff will bring them up.

Um hate to burst your bubble but Google ranks based in location and previous search history.

Try searching football here and in the states for example.

I think google auto detects your location so Coventry will come first for people in or close to the city
