Total disaster . It will be the end of Coventry City FC.St Andrews and a new ground in 3 years time is the ideal situation as far as I'm concerned. Sick of Wasps, CCC etc. Can't even be arsed to wait until they go pop. New ground, new start.
Likelihood = ??????
Can't see anyone backing down now unfortunatelyMoving grounds is obviously a worst case scenario. I doubt even SISU would want to move, bearing in mind the detrimental impact it would likely have on income, and therefore more cost for them to cover. Unfortunately, we are at a point when the club has been used a chess piece and it’s about to fall off the board. I personally still can’t get over the actions of CCC.
Potential silver lining; wherever we move to, at least the pitch will be better than the Ricoh....

Of all the sites out lined in the Telegraph Hearsall Common is by far the most suitable covers almost all bases, accessibility, easy walk up from town, good public transport, station nearby, few houses anywhere near, good road links, parking in the nearby industrial estate and probably the cheapest option when you start talking roads and site preparation. Would also be the perfect test to see how genuine our owner is for her wish for stadium and ccc come to that. It’ is common land to put that as an obstacle is bollox most of it can be kept green. I also think it could be up and running well before three years, perhaps our trust can grow a pair or two and ask ccc publically if not, why not.
And the Ricoh isn’t ? and that’s with its 2 mile exclusion zone, which I assume any new stadium will have. The road network would be a mess before and after a game

What I want to see is rock solid evidence that SiSU have been/ are engaged in looking for land to build a stadium.
If they can convince me that they have genuinely been blocked by the council I might consider watching city out of Coventry. As things are, no .
I live in the vacinity of the Ricoh and I can assure you especially after a game it’s congested in all direction for an hour or so and I don’t think that many go via the M6. At Hearsall a lot would walk from town, don’t happen at the minute.Ricoh has a two lane road and is less than a mile from m6. Maybe just me but can’t see how the road from town and the roads out to a45 would in anyway be geared up to cater for the traffic on heresall common
I got the sense from their statements that SISU want CCC to stump up money for road improvements (or is that another wrinkle to hang the uncooperative label on them).Ricoh has a two lane road and is less than a mile from m6. Sisu say they are willing to drop legal action against Coventry City Council if the authority agrees to "a stadium development supported by the Council in Coventry with enabling development on reasonable terms".
Last time a 15000 home attendance give or take dropped to 2or3k, came back to the Ricoh and it struggled back to 7kish. We have just got it back to around 10000 home fans on a regular basis. Gates will be back down to a couple of thousand pretty quickly in my opinion
. Question, who subsidises us and for how long.
Yet more bollocks, it is common landOf all the sites out lined in the Telegraph Hearsall Common is by far the most suitable covers almost all bases, accessibility, easy walk up from town, good public transport, station nearby, few houses anywhere near, good road links, parking in the nearby industrial estate and probably the cheapest option when you start talking roads and site preparation. We started the season in Northampton too which would bring that average down.As I posted the other day the average immediately before Northampton was 10900 ish. It was 9k ish on the first season back. You make up so much bollocks it is unreal.
Yet more bollocks, it is common land
Yeah - I'm a Freeman of the City, where would I graze my sheep if not on Common Land???
So to clarify then your not going? This is going to piss people off but I don't care.
No one should go . There should be a total boycott, of all "home" games including cup matches.
SISU did this to Coventry supporters before and they will do it again. They have no respect for supporters and use the club as leverage, though I wonder whether in fact they need to hang on the football club at all whilst pursuing court action. They could sell it and still take court action in the way that they are, but they chose not to.
If no one goes then no doubt it will damage to club but we can't go on like this. If enough people go to make it almost pay it's way then we could be out of Coventry for years. There is no evidence whatsoever of plans for a stadium and why would that change if SISU can ship us out and stay afloat in league 2 or lower on a shoestring budget, ticking over while they pursue their own selfish interests. There is no reassurance of any sort that we will ever return if we leave at the end of this season.
It should be made clear to CCFC that the supporters will not back the club to move out of the City .We are not supporters of CCC of Wasps but will not feed money into a scheme that is morally wrong and that simply puts the club on an indefinite life support machine with SISU's fingers on the button, holding it's supporters and any other interested parties to ransom. If you chose to go to Birmingham, Rugby, MK (think what they have done) Burton Albion etc then you're telling SISU that it's okay . You're endorsing their actions. Simple as that.
What if we get to Wembley or draw Man Utd in the cup?So to clarify then your not going?
Why would anyone want to watch us lose to United when it will be televised anyway? What if we get to Wembley or draw Man Utd in the cup?
HAHAHA. Slightly !So to clarify then your not going?
No. Absolutely not. Had enough of our supporters being treated this way. On the other hand I might do away games just to make another statement. We need zero fans at our "home" ground and a full house at every away match. It says something. What if we get to Wembley or draw Man Utd in the cup?
