....I fear no meaningful signings and a number of exits, so:

----------------------Dunn-------------------
Clarke-----Cameron-----McPake-----Hussey
Baker---Bean/Doyle--Deegan---McSheffrey
-------------Collins---McDonald--------------

I think we will lose Keogh, Cranie & Murphy.

I can see us signing a striker on a free (James Collins maybe) and a experienced L1 midfielder (like Michael Doyle or Marcus Bean)

Depressing as fack!

I don't think there's much chance of getting Doyle back when the reason we let him go was because he was on too much?

Thats not a major concern, we should stay up next season with that TEAM, the problem is there is nothing behind it, no sub defenders, no sub strikers and kids as reserve midfielders

Maybe we could stay up but you are spot on, there is no depth there at all. middle of the park is weak, and up top one injury and we will struggle to score goals.

I would rather see connor thomas and Bigi in there than Bell and Deegan, cant stand either of them. Maybe they will find their level in League one but im yet to see either have a good game!

That is is more likely team, do see many coming in, if any. Does not look to bad, we have Thomas, Bigi in midfield, maybe Wood at the back... very short up front

call me crazy but i think that team can do well in L1, its not too different to our current team which was beat by odd goal in the championship

squad wise though we need a NEW LB & ST without fail

CRAZY

8k a week Wood wont be here, meaning its full season for Willis.

we still dont have a wingers and no midfielder who can get to grip with the game

platt doesnt score

you only have to look at the bench to realise we have 4 players, of which one has only played one game for us

might pick up some poinst early on, but as soon as 2 injuries come, we are in real trouble

The problem with injury prone £8k a week wood is that only won't be here if someone else is willing to match his wage and in the current climate with the new rules, who would? Therefore imo he will be staying. I would and I'm sure most of you would too.

murphy wont leave are you high we were the only championship club in for him and why would we get micheal doyle come back when he's sheffield uniteds captain

76 appearances in 2 1/2 years, he's not that injury prone, it was only last season tbf

oh, Mcpake has had 38 appearances and been here for 3 seasons !

Since going to Hibs, he is nearly 1/3 of the way to matching his ccfc total already, funny that !

Where has this info come from that Wood is on £8k a week? I would imagine he was one of our higher earners, but I would have guessed around £6k. And there is a third factor as to why we wouldn't get Micky Doyle back (other than him having been sold as he was one of the highest earners and the fact he is playing for Sheffield United)... he is not much more of a footballer than Gary Deegan. All things being equal, I would prefer to see what Thomas and Bigi can do in the middle of the park.

I could see a club coming in for Clarke as well tbh and maybe someone for Mcdonald also

---------------Murphy
Christie---Willis---Cameron---Hussey
Baker-----Thomas----Deegan--Mcsheff
-----------Platt--------Mcdonald/Jeffers

Depressing thought that team

exactly, who the f*** would want doyle back?

To be fair if Sheff united Win the play offs he would have 2 league 1 promotions under his belt, he's a bit nasty, rarely injured and is better than what we have already got. Plus he's an experienced older head and decent captain material.

I don't mind shifting on the high earners tbh as long as we replace them with good hungry players on a lower wage looking to make a name for themself, just fear that won't be done and will be replaced with 18 year olds from the academy.

Does anyone know when Woods contract ends? All sources I can find say he signed a 3 year contract with us so that would mean he would be out of contract January approaching?
