You will have to explain !!
I thought the team were delivering entertaining football yet most fans only watch it at away matches.
If you mean people are not coming to Sixfields because it's not entertaining then you have missed the point why people are really not going there.
What is your opinion on the situation off the field?
Getting really fucking bored of this bullshit myth now....
Its quite clear to anyone with even half a brain that Sisu/Otium don't give a shit whether there are ZERO "home" fans or 2000 "home" fans.....they're losing a shit-load of cash either way....a few less quid every fortnight wouldn't suddenly make them U-turn & go cap in hand to ACL would it....
....This theory is about as solid & tested as me saying if we all painted our arses sky blue & sang the Eton boating song whilst juggling on the hill in Northampton....we'd be back at the Ricoh by now....
Utter bollocks.
What's the weather like up there? If it's anything like down here they'll be stuggling to get 1000. Can't see many away fans coming and we won't have season ticket holders to rely on to boost the numbers.
It’s not ALL utter bollocks. Yes, relative to overall losses, fewer fans attending isn’t going to make that much difference but it’s not all about losing gate revenue, certainly not at this stage of the game.
The more fans that attend Sixfields the more justification and credence this gives Sisu/Otium to their ill-conceived and misguided decision to play at Northampton. It gives them a reason to continue playing in front of an audience and to serve a customer base, no matter how small. The greater that audience the greater that justification in their eyes. Conversely, the smaller the audience, that justification/excuse diminishes commensurately.
If no fans attended at all, it would give Sisu/Otium no defendable reason, excuse or legitimate purpose (in terms of the well-being of the football club itself) to continue playing there.
Given that and going back to the original topic, I’ll be quite happy if this evening’s attendance is - as expected - the lowest ever turnout for Coventry City home fixture. Even happier if attendance was zero, and I make no apologies for that.
SISU aren't acting in the best interest of their customers, but they may be acting in the best interest of their investors. Quite frankly I don't know and accept that it's their business to run into the ground as they like.
If anyone here has a problem with them owning the club and thinks they could do better, then they should've done something about it when SISU saved us from admin and the club was up for grabs for a quid. I didn't do anything at that time and it makes it hard for me to criticise those that did.
Are 10,000 people attending home matches like last season? NO so the club is failing to deliver football of any kind to it's fans and this makes you happy. You said it not me!
It's not only the losses it's the publicity of it all.
2000 fans will go under the radar but zero fans will be picked up on.
Not sure whether zero fans would sway the Football League to say that Sixfields is not suitable and tell Sisu to bite the bullet.
It's nothing to do with the football it's where it is played. I'm happy below a 1000 because it makes a point to Sisu and if the FL had more guts, to them as well.
Happy? What a joke you are. I won't go into that though. Never to be seen when we win and happy when we lose.
Why do you blather on about the league? To act would be illegal.
Why do you blather on about the league? To act would be illegal.
This all assumes Sisu give a shit about attendances.....they don't.
Everyone already knows there is no "REAL" justification for playing in Northampton....Sisus own justification is that their "relationship" with ACL/CCC is beyond repair so they cannot return as tenants....
...Therefore attendance figures, whether ZERO or 2000, have no impact whatsoever on their reasons & justifications for playing at sixfields....
Quick Torchy! Someone is throwing insults around to create division! To the Balancemobile!
Well Im still going and thanks for your kind words (scumbag, drip, coward, treacherous scum etc) but I havent changed my mind. In fact your unpleasantness makes me even more determined to keep going and support the team . Im know this board tonight WILL be a stream of bleating sarcasm and joy about how low the gate is. I will just keep following the lads.
Im going to be generous and call you jealous. You probably all would want to come but are scared of the reaction which I suppose is fair enough. There are a lot of people out there who would consider going to Sixfields but are intimidated by the empty vessels on here...
Enough of that, Im off to wash Fishers car/sit on his lap/suck him off etc! PIP PIP
So to summarise:
You're really nasty for insulting me for going to Sixfields, so I'll rise above it by insulting you for not going.
Oh and by the way the gates would be higher but people are scared off by "empty vessels" on a website.........
Respectfully I disagree. My statement doesn’t at all assume that Sisu care about attendances, not at this stage.
Whilst it’s comforting to know that you, like most fans, acknowledge that there is no “REAL” justification in playing in Northampton, I don’t think that applies to everyone; RFC being a prime example.
What I’m saying is, that if a number of fans, no matter how small, are regularly attending Sixfields then those customers must be serviced. It is a ready-made excuse and justification for Sisu to continue playing there regardless of whether the “REAL” justification is founded or not.
Having a customer base to serve carries far more weight in terms of justification than a breakdown of relationship which to me is a very weak argument in terms of general perception.
If I can ask you a hypothetical question, if attendances were zero, do you think a breakdown of relationship with ACL is strong enough argument/justification to put out to fans, governing bodies and general public for continuing to play at Sixfields?
To me, zero attendance would be the epitome of pointlessness and not even Sisu could defend the merits of that, not even by their standards.
900
600 treacherous scum and 300 on a Fisher freebie
yep, think you will find they started it and were much more insulting than me (so far). A few hotheads on here like to think they represent every Coventry supporter so just trying to ensure a bit of balance.
I have no idea about the gate, can I guess the date instead? I guess 18 December.

That is probably fair enough, but whenever I have responded to any of your seemingly more constructive points, and in fact agreed on occasion, you never seem to respond. You just seem to enjoy the "lively banter". Again, fair enough.
On tonights game, I suspect that we will win tonight with Leon likely to start.
On the hospitality, most Cobblers fans don't bother as it is virtually non existent, and the myriad of local eateries are miles better and pretty good value
The gate is likely to be poor and probably would have been at the Ricoh too. Lets hope we win and I hope you enjoy the game AndreasB.
I may be passionate about not supporting SISU's move to Sixfields...but I have never wanted to see Coventry City loose. The notion that fans are gloating over defeats is an absolute nonsense.

The notion he is gloating over defeats is still a nonsense.Italiahorse said he wanted us to lose.
Well if that theory was even remotely true then surely SISU would reduce admission costs down to a nominal 20/50p. That way attendances would be a higher, not a great deal admittedly and the almost zero revenue would as you claim be almost incidental.Getting really fucking bored of this bullshit myth now....

Even 9 pence wouldn't tempt me. Its the principle not the cost, along with thousand of fellow Sky Blue fans, who don't go on principle. Its NINE QUID tonight you tight arse.
