To be fair, the large majority recognise that they would have no hope of getting him. They also acknowledge what a good player he is - several saying he's the best forward in the league
Is he good enough for the PL though? Possibly get into a team that's battling relegation I suppose, but I see him as a top Championship player, unsure if he'll get much better. Brighton didn't fancy him and he failed to score a goal when he was on loan at Swansea, granted he's only 24 and still...
Despite trying to follow the long thread on the Arena, it's got far too murky for me. In the event that we end up in a status quo, with SISU still owning us, and we just end up with a new landlord, then we need to remain firm (as we did in the summer to be fair) and keep our assets. Yes we did sell Hyam, but I am not sure that has really rocked the boat too much, except for experienced defensive cover.
I am sure if we did achieve promotion, things would change (SISU, CBS etc) as we're talking real money then.
