Remember the early consensus on 28 goal Marc McNulty tooLoads of people were slagging him off and said he wasn't good enough (i'm not saying you did). Here's a few from a quick search:
And many many more.
Still pissedFrom what I have seen in Tavares (cant be more than 180 mins) hes more ability and x factor. From the 500 plus mins I have seen of Wright and the 180 mins of Tavares. I'd be developing Tavares rather than that lump.
Time to practice tap ins as well. And the position he plays is arguably the toughest on the pitch, which is why plenty of big strikers only grow fully into the role relatively late in their careers. Haji hasn't played in a league like this before so we have to give him time to adapt, and more support in the form of runners from midfield.
Problem is that the majority have made their minds up that he’s a cart house rightly or wrongly. It’s going to need an incredible turnaround ASAP to not damage long term peoples opinion of him as a player.Agreed, and we have to hope he'll make people eat their words. I believe he can.
He already gives the impression that even he thinks he's a cart horse. Already looks drained of self belief. That moment on Monday where he had the opportunity to chase down a stray pass, semi-committed to it then changed his mind and went for it before pulling back again was quite revealing. With the pace he has shown in previous games he'd have made it had he gone full pelt.Problem is that the majority have made their minds up that he’s a cart house rightly or wrongly. Remember Bakayoko? Never got rid of the initial opinion he was simply dross.
I hope he does unbelievably well from 3pm Saturday but it’s not been good for £7.7m.
I’d imagine that Robins and Vivesh are in quiet moments cussing away.He already gives the impression that even he thinks he's a cart horse. Already looks drained of self belief. Just looks like someone who's given up.

He's not Gyok though.I'm well up for giving him some time, he looks incredibly raw for this league but Gyok did too. His price tag is definitely an issue as people are expecting to see the finished article rather than a player with potential. We have to buy players with potential otherwise we'd be trying to spend the same money we got for Gyok and Hamer on one player replacements who we wouldn't be able to afford the wages for. It's tough cause we all remember we were a few kicks from the premier league but it's where we are at.
He was dross.Remember Bakayoko? Never got rid of the initial opinion he was simply dross.
And Gyokeres would have been about 22 when he had his uninspiringloan spell, Wright should be far closer to the finished productHe’s 25.
No but I'm allowed an opinion wether you like it or not.Still pissed

You would think the finished product at championship level for £7.7M.And Gyokeres would have been about 22 when he had his uninspiringloan spell, Wright should be far closer to the finished product
Simms was decent in the cameo vs Cardiff too. He was directly involved in our 2bd goal lovely little dinked pass over defenders legs for Da Silva to cross. He's not Gyok though.
Your can't compare anyone to Gyok, that would be unfair. You can only judge a player on what you see, and at the moment both Wright and Simms are struggling. Sure they might both improve, but we've seen very little talent from either of them so far, and although Simms showed a big improvement in the first half against Huddersfield, he still needs to push on.
Strikers costing teams this season 750k likes of Whittaker are banging in hatricks. In comparison this has been horrendous business.
Not even expecting anything spectacular. Just the basics would do from a striker.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong big time. For the sake of not wasting a record transfer fee. It's a few games in, you can't write a player off after so few games

As a bare minimum.
If hes half the player Thomas Brolin was he would be some signing.
Or your going to look stupid with everyone saying "I told you so"I honestly can’t wait to drag this thread back up in 6 months when he comes good. Gonna be some right humble pie going to be fucking glorious
lot of it is probably down to attitude and Billy big boots syndrome!you only need to look how he reacted when he missed that open goal late on in the Huddersfield game.
he needs to get his head down and do the basics like fight for the ball and hold it to bring in the others on the pitch and the goals will come.
From what I seen of him at the sky blue tavern recently he’s a child in a man’s body. This is a total crock of shite. No evidence that he has a big ego or see's himself as "billy big boots". If anything, he's a player who's extremely low on confidence right now - so the opposite! Watch any of his interviews and you can see that he comes across as down to earth and prepared to work hard. He's going to have to do that now.
And?He’s 25.

He doesn’t appear a very confident person and shy. Similar to when an apprentice turns up on their first day.
That's being introverted, not childish. He doesn’t appear a very confident person and shy. Similar to when an apprentice turns up on their first day.
No he appeared like a young child. Struggled with eye contact etc, lacking in confidence. That's being introverted, not childish.
