They do, West Ham paid a fee of up to £12m for a Championship midfielder this week, clearly clubs just don’t think ours are worth it. That may change when we get more desperate for moneyNo one has the money

Yeah but you know for sure that next time Alan Nixon says he has news on Cov, the naive little idiot Cov fans will get another hard on. He’s fucking shit on the subject.
Its probably Boddy leaking the story I’d imagine the club are getting pretty anxious there have been no takers yet

Bird a good replacement for Hamer @Frostie ? Just from my eye i dont think hes as progressive as Hamer but youre the stat man!
Are there any "good" replacements in our budget (£0 + wages) for a possible £8-10m player!!?Bird a good replacement for Hamer @Frostie ? Just from my eye i dont think hes as progressive as Hamer but youre the stat man!
Of course there is. I doubt we'd pay a replacement as much as hamer is on now, maybe 5 grand a week less, giving us a couple of million to spend on a transfer fee aswell. Hamer, O'hare, Sheaf and Gyokores were brought in under such terms. No reason we can't to it again. Are there any "good" replacements in our budget (£0 + wages) for a possible £8-10m player!!?
That's how hard he will be to replace!!

Can't take credit for this stats analysis, this is from TR_ANALYTICS on Twitter but my general assessment is very good player with an incredibly high ceiling at still just 21 years old.
Bit of a different profile to Hamer & you'd be right in your assessment about him being less progressive but I think that could come in time. He's more of a ball carrier than Hamer though.

I like this little assessment, think it sums Bird up pretty well.
Either way, can't see him being allowed to leave Derby on the cheap given his enormous potential so think it's probably a non-starter.
Interesting, enormous potential, does that mean you think he could be on the radar of top 4/6 clubs in England? Or a bit lower?
