I haven’t seen much about how either are progressing to be honestYes. Alabi signed a new contract I think? Lusaka is the lad from spurs. Still under contract but hasn't pulled up any trees so far
Yes, both in the U21s. It was more as a joke as we didn’t have any young CB on the periphery of the squad last season.
I guess they’ll both play against FGR. Not sure if they were in Portugal? Think Di Trolio was.Yes. Alabi signed a new contract I think? Lusaka is the lad from spurs. Still under contract but hasn't pulled up any trees so far
A club like Coventry is an attractive destination for many clubs to send their talent, we compete and try to play decent football, the management is well trusted to bring their players along. We probably will get close to that....
BUT...we know we use loans...
The nightmare of playing Leicester first is that the window is still well and truly open
...
We will not be at full strength (more than likely loans still yet to appear for us) and Leicester could still have Premiership quality all over the pitch that will move on closer to the end of the window.....
Neither played against Stratford TodayI guess they’ll both play against FGR. Not sure if they were in Portugal? Think Di Trolio was.
Agree... my point above was that we don't always have our loans in early/for first game... so when we play Leicester, we won't be at full strength, whereas Leicester could field their strongest 11/squad of the season as players likely to leave but still have time to find moves as window still long open!!A club like Coventry is an attractive destination for many clubs to send their talent, we compete and try to play decent football, the management is well trusted to bring their players along.
We play in a great stadium with good crowds and promote players getting involved in the community.
As such we’d be mad not to use the loan system to our advantage.
I do think some people are panicking to soon, I have faith in MR and his team to have us where we need to be come KO.
Did his ACL last seasonWhat’s Isaac Moore like? Isn’t he meant to be highly rated?
Such a shame for the young lad. Is he close to fitness?Did his ACL last season
Yep, that’s just the difference in financial levels we’re at with the likes of Leicester, but I still think our best chance of getting the best rewards from the season is to play the loan game.Agree... my point above was that we don't always have our loans in early/for first game... so when we play Leicester, we won't be at full strength, whereas Leicester could field their strongest 11/squad of the season as players likely to leave but still have time to find moves as window still long open!!
CBs that went to Portugal was Di Trolio, Eghosa, Alabi and Fadz, so can see it being that way for FGR unless one comes in on Monday. Boddy did say 2 were close, with one being Collins, surely the other has to be a CB.I guess they’ll both play against FGR. Not sure if they were in Portugal? Think Di Trolio was.

Have you seen much of Di Trolio?Eghosa is a wide player
Yeah he probably just said no comment for 18 holes.Isn't it weird that footballers will discuss their wages with total strangers?
7??? Fek off
3 more I think then a couple of prem loans towards the window close.
So you're including our loaned out players and the ones who replaced them? That's ridiculous. Might aswell say we've lost 50 players on last 5 years so we need 50.
Dacosta gone all season. Kane and waghorn gone at January and replaced by loans who you've also included!!!!
And Reid
No I would prefer Burroughs and DaSilva CB please. So 5 total?
Do you think we had a big enough squad last year when we had two GKs on the bench? And we need more for a match day squad this season. Some of the players you mention like Tavares and Howley are miles off where we’d need them to be.
1. We need a GK, Moore is finished as he showed at Wrexham.
2. We need a RWB, we only have Sakamoto, Burroughs isn’t at the level yet.
3-6. We need 4 CBs. That’s how many we had last season and we still had periods where we played people out of position.
7. We probably need a LWB as indications are Bidwell is off
8. We need a CM to cover Hamer, we have three for Sheafs position and one for Hamer. We looked awful without him last season.
9. We need an AM as Allen and O’Hare won’t make it for the start of the season and Palmers fitness is questionable. This could be a loan.
10-11. we need two STs to make four and to replace the ones we’ve lost.
1 - massive disrespect on Moore. Can't judge on Wrexham, keepers need a run like anyone else. Wilson was much better with a run than when he came in for the odd game. I'm a big Wilson fan, I defended him early when lost of thus board abused him, but I still think Moore behind that team would've got over those clangers and been ok.So 5 total?

All 3 are plenty good enough on a 9 man bench though.I have no issue with the likes of Burroughs Howley and Tavares sticking about and maybe having a breakthrough season, but we need better really.

2 - agree and said RB
3-6 - disagree. Fadz, Latibeaudiare and need 2 more imo plus people like Bidwell Burroughs to cover in emergency.
7 - what indications? Possibly to Brum in Jan but been solid since and now have JDS too.
8 - who is realistically able to replace Hamer that's better than Eccles or Allen and happy to sit on the bench just in case?
9 - possibly agree and expect a loan option one of the 2 I called ((CB the other)
10-11 - 1 I suggested and second only if Godden goes imo with how we play. Also need loans out for Tavares if you're getting 2 more.
Where has this notion that Burroughs is a CB come from? Are you getting him mixed up with his brother? All 3 are plenty good enough on a 9 man bench though.
He's played RB, CB and CM for us.Where has this notion that Burroughs is a CB come from? Are you getting him mixed up with his brother?

You're using Luton as our aim yet our threadbare squad took them to pens and that could easily have been us. In fact I still believe if Gus didn't get injured we win and ghat could happen again if we had another 20 players. Not for me. I don’t think Robins would ever use them if he had another there option. They might break through but I doubt it.
The point I’m trying to make is what moves Luton from where they were to where they are was squad depth. We have some massive drop offs in quality if players are injured and that costs you points over a season. We get a load of injuries because we have to force players to stay on the pitch or come back early. We have to change our entire style of play because we just don’t have certain positions for periods last season. We need more depth than we had.
I don't have an encyclopaedic game by game knowledge but he definitely has. I also never said he was a CB, only that he hould cover. Tbh not sure if he's a RB or CM and he perhaps needs to nail a position down soon. When has he played CB for us
He definitely hasn’t. I’ve just looked on transfermarkt. He’s played RWB and CM. We could play Simms at CB too as he’s tall.I don't have an encyclopaedic game by game knowledge but he definitely has. Exactly. I’d rather have an actual CB than a RWB academy player who’s barely broken into the team as our 4th choice. Why the hell would we want a squad where it’s a consideration he will anyway - we had 5 centre backs all season last season and need the same this so we need 4
Agreed, CBs have got to start coming in from Monday onwards realistically. Ideally 2 in before the end of next weekWhy the hell would we want a squad where it’s a consideration he will anyway - we had 5 centre backs all season last season and need the same this so we need 4

The next Ponticelli. Best we can hope for is he goes to League 2, gets a few goals and we can get a few hundred thousand for him. Also people including Tavares as a back up striker - forget it - not good enough
I still think the juries out on that. I saw him play for Rochdale and he definitely had the potential. Seen bits of that with us as well, think a lot hinges on how well he recovers from his injury. Also people including Tavares as a back up striker - forget it - not good enough
He’s had very little 1st team minutes, but has still scored a worldly in that time. For me, he has a spark, and looks dangerous but obviously raw. I’m hoping he’ll be involved next season and not loaned out.I still think the juries out on that. I saw him play for Rochdale and he definitely had the potential. With a 9 man bench I'd like to see him involved. He’s had very little 1st team minutes, but has still scored a worldly in that time. For me, he has a spark, and looks dangerous but obviously raw. I’m hoping he’ll be involved next season and not loaned out.
