It isn't his fitness. It's his fatness.

He is still a very good player. But as a professional athlete he should look after himself better. If he was at peak fitness he would be even better. Maybe then he would be Prem class.

Hamer has natural ability. But at least he is nowhere near as bad as another ex player Mickey Quinn. Fastest player over 2 yards. Lethal in the box. Shape of a shot putter not a goalscorer.
