Does he have to deliver his own cards.......Arhh

Happy Birthday Micky! I do feel sorry for talented players of that era who just missed out on the wages boom and had to get regular jobs after their careers were over. He'd have been set up for life if he played 5-10 years later.

Gynn didn't play often under Gould, but I saw his last goal for City. For once it was us who ended a team's long unbeaten run (17 games) to move ourselves to 4th in Premier League in March 1993.

Have to say I don't remember that. My over-riding memory of that season was Quinn's 10 goals in 8 games and then barely winning a game after January. Were we really that high in March?!

Edit: Not suggesting I don't believe you, just amazed at what the human brain chooses to forget and remember!

Yeah, the final table was very tight. We finished with 52 points, considering we won only one of the last 11 games following that win over Sheffield Wednesday, we were still only 7 points off 6th place and only 3 points off the bottom 3.

Yep was bizarre. Palace got relegated on 49 points.

My favourite player of the 80s. Will never the semi final watching the clock one nil down thinking we would never score and up pops mg at the crucial time cooly slotting the equiliser home. Also scored the winner in the 5th round at stoke which was crucial to the cup run.

If true re bobby gould then well out of order given mg service to the club and deserved a testimonial
