It's all very quiet ! No news on the appeal being granted or rejected. The FL no longer responding to emails fobbing us off... just feel something is brewing. SP being bullish about returning to the Ricoh, new signings beings more positive about playing at the Ricoh... no negotiations taking place ? Well, they ain't going to broadcast it if there are.. Something is brewing ...
I expect that you're right - however the FL would have nothing to discuss on August 7th if SISU told them that they had no objection to the money in escrow being immediately released to ACL.
Then - to take my fantasy a stage further - SISU confirm that they won't be appealing the JR and "constructive talks" can start straight away and we can kick off the new season at the Ricoh.
Turning it around...
ACL announce that regardless of the payment of the £590,000 and legal case, IF SISU call them they will take a meeting and listen to an offer for a short term rental deal.
I think that they case safely make such an offer because SISU still won't call, and any "offer" will doubtless include conditions that ACL cannot deliver, such as access to revenues streams covered by separate legal contracts.
A short term rental deal is the only realistic starting point for rebuilding the relationship between ACL and SISU but SISU have such an agreement with NTFC which does not involve giving revenue to ACL. Given that Plan A is still operative, distress ACL, this is important to them.
