I reckon he will play left back non-league.....I think with Wood, Crainie & Keogh we are ok for centre back + McPake of course.
Only way he will play centre back is if he moves Keogh to right back at the expense of Christie which would be a little harsh but he also is young.
I think strongest possible team as it stands is this - though think Nimely may have to play as part of the deal though? How long is Bell out for as a matter of interest.
Just my thoughts with an eye on future sales, Willo! I always thought he is too slow for a LB, much as Staunton was when we signed him, and he proved a more effective player at CB in his time here.

Interesting you have Wood behind Christie and Sheff/Platt ahead of Nimley. I think Wood has been excellent when he's played and surely we need the pace of Nimley to stretch teams a bit. We've had no pace all season.
I'm usually Woods bigest critic, but his performances at Christmas were the best he's delivered since he's been at the club. We need to keep him-he's actually led a team out of L1 before!

I think his performances were of a much higher level when playing alongside McPake at the heart of the defence towards the end of the season before last. I remember when Boothroyd came in and changed this centre back pairing for his very first game (Cameron + ?), I thought he and I may not end up seeing eye to eye on tactical matters...
