I know you were in London on Saturday on a stag do, hope you are safe and well
And didn't get caught up in the shocking attacks on Saturday night.
I know London is a big place, but Borough market is very popular with groups of
Revellers like yourselves and is an area you could well have been in.

Hi Brylowes,

Thanks for your kind post. Posted on this thread yesterday, post #159

van driven at pedestrians in London

I'm fine as were the rest of my group. I'm working from home this morning with the news on in the background and it's quite sobering seeing new footage released knowing that it happened just under a mile from where we were.

All good though thanks mate. CJ was up that way as well according to the thread above. Looks like SBT has a clean bill of health.

Me and a load of fellow City fans drank in the Wheatsheaf pub after the last two Millwall games. I've also socialised in that general area many times - literally dozens and dozens of times. Disturbing.

Me and 3 mates were there on Saturday on the way back from Epsom. Decided to get an earlier train so missed the carnage by about 45 minutes.

Bit shaken up today. Jumping at everything. Didn't leave the house yesterday but out and about today. The impact of the whole event and injuries I saw I think are setting in. Seen some horrible things in my life at race tracks along with the stuff in Marseille last year but it's never effected me like this. Is it normal?

Exactly as KG7 says, if it begins to fester and affect your everyday life, speak To someone,
our brains aren't really equipped to take things like this in our stride, it will help.

Delayed shock is completely normal, but I'd echo everyone else about not letting it affect you too long before getting help. My cousin was injured in that Tunisian gunman thing the other year and although it hasn't gone away for them completely, reaching out helped them massively.

Agree CJ with what the others have said. I was lucky I didn't see anything other than people looking for water, blankets, accommodation, taxis etc. Don't give it long before you speak to someone professionally.

Were you caught up in it all CJ? i thought you were just in london but not london bridge

Was working in a bar round the corner from London Bridge. There was some commotion and realised something was happening up that way. Not sure why but what happened in Westminster came to mind straight away. I was running towards the bridge to see if it was a similar incident and if so if anyone needed help & ended up running along side a guy who was doing the same thing. There were lots of people running towards us really scared so we quickly realised it was quite bad.

We ran up the steps and saw some of the people on the road and pavement quite clearly. They were in a pretty bad way. The Old Bill had just arrived and after a brief conversation with them we left and was helping to direct people and to calm others down as some were hysterical and literally just running round in circles.

Ended up losing the chap that I was with initially. Although it's very unlikely it'll ever happen, I would love to get in touch with him. I felt quite calm considering what was happening but he was something else. I got the impression it didn't phase him at all. He seemed to have thought it all through quite quickly. As we got to the bottom of the steps he said to me that if it is the worst case scenario and they're still up there & we can't get out any other way we had to go feet first in the Thames! Also said you go one way and I'll go the other etc. Some bloke!

Must've been out for an hour and after going back into the bar we were told to evacuate. The police reversed that and locked us down for a couple of hours.

Hi CJ. I've got a top mate who is a very highly thought of counsellor (fantastic guy, City fan, based in Kenilworth). If you want his details pm me. Anyway, hope it settles down mate.
