Highfield Road Memories (1 Viewer)

Next week is the final Sports Lounge before the 10 year anniversary of our final match at Highfield Road. Over the last 3 weeks, we've talked about your favourite games, goals and players. This week, we want you to share your memories of the old stadium. Your pre-match routine, the walk up to the ground, what Highfield Road meant to you. This week is a celebration of our famous old ground, so let us know your memories of our old home

I remember that weird period we had the old original terrace come back behind seating in the East terrace (mid 80's following the JH all seater experiment). I used to stand directly under the scoreboard. But there was standing, then a gap and then about 20 rows of seating....it looked really daft!!

Still...I wish I could still go up there now. Quick pint at the Brewer and Baker and a slow wonder through Hillfields. Happy Days!!!!

It's a brave man that wanders through Hillfields slowly ! :)

I only ever went to Highfield Road twice. I remember my mum dropping me and my dad off a short walk from Hillfields. We crossed a bridge over the dual carriage way and made our way to the ground. Cant remember the route but i remember the surroundings and i still think about the walk to Highfield Road today
