From the very little I saw of him he looked like he was a decent player…albeit at league 2 level. Although that even Oldham didn’t play him probably speaks volumes.

Feel sorry for the guy and his medical issues, but given we paid a fee for him and gave him a three-year deal, he has to rate as Robins’ worst ever signing.

It's a good move to get him out anyway but I would love it if it gave us that extra wriggle room to bring in an AM on loan

Have to disagree SBT
The lad has a great attitude and wanted to play but wasn't up to the standard for whatever reason
Football is a ruthless business. It must have been terrible for him and his family to come to a new country with high hopes only to endure the pandemic and the lad's failure to make the grade here
Both Kasta and Bright (2nd time) had the talent to make it but not 1% the character of Hilssner
Guys like that irritate me more than honest guys who try their best
Really hope this works out well for Marcel

We also paid a fee for Kasta and gave him a three year deal.

He's an odd one though, seems to make a habit of being picked up by half decent teams and not coming close to making it in their first teams. So is it confidence? Fitness? Something must stop him from making that nudge up from what not just Robins and staff have seen, but other coaches too, to actually playing at a half decent level.

I’m sure he’s a good bloke who tried hard, but it’s a results business. In terms of ‘what we got on the pitch’ vs ‘what we paid for it’, I’m struggling to think of anyone worse, Bright and Kasta included.

Hard to say
Maybe he's one of those guys who can occasionally do something outstanding in a game which sticks in a scout's mind afterwards

Think I've got a good attitude BD but never good enough for anything above the Cov Allience.
You could see in the friendly against Rangers he was out of his depth

He never even made the bench. Played a few pre-season matches and then a story came out about asthma and that was it done. Saw a few highlights of him at Oldham and he looked quite a 'big' player.

I'm pretty sure when we signed him we said or he'd said he'd been training with us for a while and he was glad it finally happened. What on earth went on there I do not know.

His asthma was newly diagnosed so may have impacted his fitness back then. Hope it works out for him.

Strange one all around. He obviously must have had something as he also secured a move to the Bundesliga in 2019 but never played there either. Feel for the guy but this should be a good move for all concerned.

Good to hear that he he knuckled down & worked hard throughout, far too many players just down tools in his position.

I won't even hear it!
Kasta gave us hours of entertainment!
Rumour is he didn't need to fly out to Zwolle as he was still sliding...

Its an odd one. Normally with players who get signed at a decent level but never make an appearance you hear rumours that they don't put the effort in or have an attitude problem but that defiantly doesn't seem the case here.

Must have something to offer to have got signed more than once. Probably a good idea to head back to Germany, can't have been easy to move and then be in a pandemic. If the loan works out hopefully he can get something permanent sorted for next season and not end up back here twiddling his thumbs.

He will be in the shop window now, which is the best situation for all concerned. He needs to find another club suited to the level he is at and if not the new club someone else. Let's hope he hits the ground running and provides enough interest in him to get a permanent move come summer.

Good luck to him for the sake of all.
