I think he'd be mediocre at best in the championship but I do think he's shown enough to think he can cause problems if thrown on for the last 15 mins or so. That's why I said keep him.
Strictly keeping this about hiwula. He was always played out of position. Played up top at Xmas in 1st league 1 campaign and scored 3 in 3. He was best when not thinking about the finish. Pompey away, barnsley away, that volley from a corner at home, donny was it? He pulled them out the bag but how many one on one's did he fluff when he had time to think.
It will click for him but he won't be with us next season
Hiwula's head drops when things go against him and he has a tendency to hide a little when it does. When others have poor games they can still offer the side something by their team ethos, but Hiwula didn't seem to have that in him. He also missed a lot of costly sitters in his first season with us (he wasn't the only one), but this got largely forgotten, which was fair enough, as he finished the season well, and his goals tally ended up being reasonable. Much of this was due to how well he linked with Enobakhare, and maybe if he had signed last Summer, things might have turned out differently for both of them. Even this season he linked pretty well with Shipley at times, but the missed one on ones continued to add up, and when he stepped up for that penalty at MK his confidence was shot and I think everyone thought he wasn't going to score, himself included. It appears he has pretty much sulked since that time, and as a result he has burnt his bridges with MR. I think he can still do a decent job in League 1 though, and maybe if someone took a chance on that Hiwula/ Enobakhare combination it could pay dividends. Over to you Sunderland
There is a decent player in there, maybe even still at league 1 level.
His drop in form\confidence came at a time when the teams formation changed and we started winning consistently.
In addition to that Max coming back in after injury leaving just no place for him.
Will defo leave but wish him well.
Robins will be ruthless if we do go up, just like he was from league two to league one and there isn't much of a gulf between those two divisions, can only see Robins keeping Godden from the current list of first team strikers, I would imagine he has a couple of replacements already lined up.
He was given a run as an inside forward as part of a front three. I do think that’s his best position but he was horribly wasteful, rightly dropped and sulked his way through the rest of the season.

Yeah, he never quite hit the right form for us. Still think he’d do a job elsewhere. Maybe needs a partner and an extended run. Like you say, attitude could be questionable and has a habit of going missing for long periods. Just not convinced that left side of a front 3 was his best position, and (at least in my memory) that’s where he played most of his games for us.
