7 home wins in a row (in all competitions) for the first time since 1954
We are second in the League 2 home table. Conceeding just 9 goals in 15 home games. Finally the Ricoh is becoming a fortress, just need to pick up a few more points away from the Ricoh now to stay in contention for the top 3
And with that in mind you would have thought that would have put more bums on seats.7 home wins in a row (in all competitions) for the first time since 1954

It wont until we get close to the end of season and it looks likely for automatic or play offs, Cambridge at home is a defining game, but not that defining, people will flood in for the final 3 home games subject to our position in the league. And with that in mind you would have thought that would have put more bums on seats.

It's the pitch. A big thank you to the Wasps team.
Every little helps
Was thinking that earlier, would be interesting to see stats on with and without.Bloody hell all these wins at a soulless ground. Fuck the soul whatever that is. But if this is being without a soul long may it continue. Has anybody noticed that this run has got better without a certain player who took away the opportunities to score from McNulty
While not being able to score himself from numerous chances. Was thinking that earlier, would be interesting to see stats on with and without.
I actually think that's a symptom rather than a tactical choice:I think we’ve changed our game plan at home, allowing teams to come on to us more and playing on the break.
That said, the same style should be effective away, though potentially we are playing a bit deeper and inviting more pressure.
I actually think that's a symptom rather than a tactical choice:
Earlier in the season we were deliberately setting up to counter with our 2 DMs & Jodi Jones and teams just weren't coming on to us. I was fearing the worst at that point because we had absolutely nothing through the middle and we just weren't changing things up. 3 key events then occured. Losing Kelly (1) and then Jones (2) in the same game forced Robins to have a rethink and he changed the game plan. The discovery of Bayliss (3) 2 games after those injuries changed the dynamic of the whole midfield. It gave us impetus through the middle as he played higher up the pitch and could carry the ball 25 yeards himself linking the defence and attack. Since then I actually think we've done the opposite, we're attacking teams from the off and scoring early goals (5 goals within 20 minutes in our last 5 home games vs 3 goals in 10 whole first halves before that) these early goals then force teams to come onto us and so we get more opportunities to counter than we did when that was our actual tactic! 8 wins from 10 since Bayliss came into the team and he's won 6 from 6 at the Ricoh!

Bizarre as it may sound the injury crisis and loss of JJ was for the better of the side.
It forced MR into a massive early rethink rather than a likely sale this window, disrupting the side at a key time.
It shifted the emphasis of the side and made players emerge as the men to pick the side up and carry us along.
Had we of had the same personal would we of had a rethink in our approach play or not... guess we will never know.
