I am not calling for our leaders head, let me make that clear.

We are all fully aware of our clubs 'trigger happy' history when it comes to hiring and firing managers. With one eye on the fact it would not cost much to get rid of Thorny and the fact we are joint 3rd bottom on points, how many more bad results will it take for SISU to decide they are making a change?

For me he needs to be afforded time to build but we all know thats not the way Cov do things.

currently our choice of manager is irrelevant for me and will change nothing. You could have Ferguson, Mourinho or me and it wouldn't make any odds.

Thorn seems like a nice chap, too early to assess his managerial ability. Forget the end of last season, the little cameo, we will see how this one goes. I wouldn't change the manager until we have investment....if at all

Totally agree.

Doesn't matter who the manager is. The squad isn't big enough, there's not enough quality and we are too dependent on blooding kids.

Id say if we are in bottom 3 after 10 games it may be curtains for Andy.

Catch 22 situation for us isn't it. AT is a renowned scout, of this there is no doubt. My concerns are his abilities to drag sisus team out the mire we find ourselves in. We are in the shit big time. Anyone that doesn't see that is deluded.

how can he be to blame for any of this its like asking a mechanic to fix a car n giving him plastic tools. Just not viable.
Its not fair on the kids being forced to develop under so much pressure, I hope it doesn't hinder their progres.

Secondly if they continue to performas they are how long is it before they get sold to continue funding the losses?

can't see them getting rid of AT. He's doing 2 jobs at the moment and most likley getting paid less than most other managers in the championship. They aren't going to spend money on a 'name' so why would they get rid of him, especially as he has the fans backing.

AT will be here until fan pressure makes SISU sack and blame someone else for their inability to run a football club ... We are stuck with what we have and will have to make the most of it,,LONG LONG season ahead....

If we keep dropping points and league places the protests will get louder, I can see the board sacking AT and then coming out with a bs story about how they did it for us fans who deserve better.

SISU wont get rid of AT as what happens on the pitch is of no interest to them, all that matters is balancing the books and sacking AT would cost them 12 months salary and the cost of appointing a new man. Mind you Monkeyhead is now available for nothing .......shudder of horror just went right through me.

how would it be saving costs when you would have to pay his contract off.
we really can not get rid of these bloke.......he is the only manager who has let us play football for 10 years plus.

The worry is however that the board/SISU are clueless enough about football to blame Thorn.

Anyway..come on fellas, it was one bad game. A win against Reading and we'll feel completely different again. I'm worried about this season, for sure-but we aren't relegated yet, and the Derby game did show we are still capable of good football-and winning! Lets give AT all the vocal backing we can on Saturday just to make sure the owners don't forget that we#re behind him. Well, most of us.

As Long as Sisu are around

Thorn is the perfect choice for Sisu. He is happy to toe the party line (imagine Billy Davies working with Sisu) and he is happy to take his paypacket safe in the knowledge that Sisu are the only peopele who would employ him as manager.

Face it if we were bought by a mega rich Abramovic type (dream on) would your really, REALLY want Thorn at the helm?

I'm not confident with thorn in charge. But then again I know it's not his fault he has a piss poor team I. Want him to stay in charge and get taken over and see what he can do with a good squad imagine his scouting ability + money. It can only mean good things. But if SISU sacked him I'd expect a hell of a lot of protest for many months to come

If Cov got some money together then I would absolutely want AT running the show still. 100%

He is getting us playing some really good football and IMO at times, the best we have played since getting sent down to this league.

With players not being replaced and below minimum investment he isn't going to work miracles.

Thorn is saving them money, it would cost them money to get rid of him, and a new manager would need more pay.
Sisu know just as we do, that we haven't got much chance staying up, so we may as well go down with a first class bloke in charge.
Bottom line, Sisu would anger even more fans, lose even more money, and lose more general respect if they fired him, it isn't remotely in their interest.
