Herman out for the season

Any chance we could recall McPake ?

Other clubs do it, but I bet we dont...

We only have 4 fit defenders, of which one is playing out of position...

Who would go into the back 4 if someone gets injured on saturday ?

4 fit defenders, 4 fit midfielders and 2 fit strikers. SISU say we have enough as we have 2 fit GK's

HERMANN Hreidarsson could be ruled out for the rest of Coventry City's season after confirmation that he needs an operation on his dislocated shoulder.
But Coventry City boss Andy Thorn says that the charismatic Icelander can still play an invaluable role in the Sky Blues’ survival battle.
Snapped up on a free transfer from Portsmouth last month, Hreidarsson helped City claim a 3-2 win against Middlesbrough on his debut but picked up his injury in the closing minutes of their 2-1 defeat at Blackpool.
The veteran defender said he was prepared to put surgery on hold if he could be patched up to play on.

But Thorn said last night: “Hermann has seen a top specialist and he’s been told that he can’t put it off.
“He’s told me he wants to get back as quickly as possible but, being realistic, the odds are that he’ll be out for the rest of the season.

That is 5 fit, as long as Cameron is back. So we can now have a defender as a sub

There sure is. Why do you think so many fans say AT has it easy and should be doing better. We have a spare player

Could you change the tune of your messages.
Every one contains something about Thorn ,and why those who think he's not good enough, should think otherwise.
I think we get where you stand on this topic.

Wouldn't it be ace if he did what harford did in the 90's and refuse his wages unless he plays!!!!! Somehow I doubt it!!!!

Really do not recall anyone saying AT has got it easy not sure anyone would. He has and will make mistakes and if we stay up then he will have contributed positively & negatively to that but it wont be down to just him .......... the biggest reason will be the players (especially the youngsters). They and he will deserve credit. It will also mean we had a squad that was good enough to stay up and that failed to perform under the manager for the first 2/3rds of the season to a level that brought better results - it would be reasonable to ask why and the part played by AT

If we go down he will have contributed to that also as will the players.

to paraphrase Sir Alex - "the most important person at a club is the manager" ...... so AT shares equally in blame or praise

Sick and tired of folk (in general) blaming the manager for all the results or on the other hand exonerating him because it is all SISU's fault - Life is just not that simple ! Many factors contribute to the state of CCFc and its results of which AT is one

And you will stop your opposite stance Rev?

I would be very happy if the blame was put on who is to blame, not on who is trying to pick up the pieces and save our season.

why is it CCFC has a long history of picking up players that are sick notes or just not fit ?

Astute, I am not anti Thorn, i have never ever got personal in any of my messages on my opinions of Thorn,(some posters have got very personal), and i will support him while he is manager of the team.
My opinion was given when asked if we think Thorn is good enough to manage our team, which i know he's doing his best ,but i don't think he is good enough at the moment.
I clearly state again that while he is manager i will support him, but yes i would like someone else next season, but i also point out my opposition to Harrison the coach, who i think is very poor and been here far to long, and if given the choice i would want Harrison to go before Thorn.
At least now i know where you stand and you know where i stand, and again i fully respect yours and every pro Thorn poster.
