They will not be adults kits they will be men's kits. CCFC used to do kits in women's sizes and I think it's a pity they don't any more. I know it's because we are now in League 1 yadayadaya, but it's still disappointing. Prioritise baby kits over the women when the women's World Cup is on seems a missed opportunity to me.

Again, a serious question: how are women's sizes different to men's? Are they a different fit, as opposed to a range of sizes. If it's just size, I can't understand what the issue is.

My other half hated those women kits and bought the mens ones anyway. She thought they looked shite with the skinny waist and dropped collar. Didn't look like a football shirt, didn't look like any of the kits they're wearing in the WWC.

Yeah, as I said they bring the neckline down, the waist in and put more room in the chest. I've seen a few people wear them but none of the women I know that support the club like them, they don't look anything like the proper shirt which I see as unisex anyway.

A kits a kit. Adult is non-gender specific. But if you want a gripe at something new you should make up a whole new thread for it.

Home Kit | Home Kit

Have a look. The fit is different that's all. Many women will not buy a garment designed for a man, just like many men won't buy a garment designed for a woman.

Clothing in general is gender specific. All shops have gender specific clothing. A missed opportunity.

Where have I said shut up and go away? You’re moaning for the sake of moaning, as if we haven’t already got enough to moan about!

Yes, clothing is usually gender specific. If this shirt comes out and says men’s, I’ll eat my words. But I doubt it will. You can also get unisex clothes you know.

Is it really so unreasonable to ask that if they can make the kit in baby sizes they can also make it in womens’ sizes too? Is that really so much to ask, or get affronted at by being asked? Is it?

Ask them, not me. Or ask a load of girls which one they prefer. Im saying that a football shirt can be worn by both men and women. Not taking an option away from women, because they can still wear it. In my experience, girls prefer the normal shirt over the female shirt.

Have they actually explicitly said they won't do women's fit ones? Seems a bit mental to moan about something you don't know for sure

I take your point. Kg82 suggested you start a new thread on this particular subject, not "shut up and go away".

To be fair if we're expecting the shirts to match the body type of the supporters buying them there needs to be a rethink with the mens shirts to allow for moobs and beer bellies!

Not yet and that’s fair enough, maybe they will make womens sizes. But if they don’t, then I could understand our female supporters being a bit miffed, given they’re going to make them in baby sizes. At least with Nike they had the excuse there was no option for that given they were using more or less off the shelf templates.

I don’t get the umbrage or dismissiveness of some fans on here though. The attitude seems to be this doesn’t affect me, so why should I care? but I can’t get behind that. The reason womens’ sizes exist for other clubs is simple: mens sizes don’t work well for a lot of women, and it’s money being left on the table. So why wouldn’t we encourage making it easier for supporters to spend money on a kit, putting more money in our bank?

I’d like the option of a shirt in women’s sizes agin. Not redesigned to make it more girly looking or anything, like with special collars. Just cut to accommodate boobs is the main thing. I buy unisex t-shirts as well t-shirts made for women. Generally the latter fit better and as we pay the same prices for tickets, shirts and everything else, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to hope for a shirt with me in mind

Oh, and to add one more point my wife just made: these kits are expensive. Why spend a lot of money on an item of clothing that doesn’t fit you well?

I assume you’re referring to me. I’m not being dismissive. I haven’t worded it well to be fair. I think it was just the post about there being no women’s sizes... it doesn’t specifically say that. It says adults. I’m pretty sure women can be adults as well. It’s not specifying gender, that was my point. But he was moaning about it even though no one knows yet.

I'd argue that the 'elite', or whatever they're called, kits that premier league clubs have are men's kits as they are shaped to fit around the frame of the athlete. The replica ones are unisex examples of what is on the pitch and can be worn by anybody. They're not particularly well fitting on anybody, never look stylish anyway and the last time we had women's kits they were completely altered designs that came across as tacky. As I said, none of the female fans I know wanted anything to do with them and bought the replica as they had done before and continue to do. Fair enough if people would prefer them, it's their opinion after all, but if my experience expands over a significant proportion of the fan base then perhaps they weren't making any money on them so decided to go down the simple route.

I suspect that rather than being money left on the table the level of sales doesn't justify the manufacture. How many clubs outside the big PL sides have a bespoke kit that is available in a different cut for women?

Seem to recall when we were with Puma and had bespoke kits the club had to make a minimum order that was pretty high, same possibly applies and they don't want to get stuck with a load of kit they can't sell.

That’s all fair enough and I would 100% agree with you we’re it not for them specifically mentioning baby sizes. If they can justify ordering those, they can justify adult womens sizes too.

The past few years on social media i have seen plenty of requests for Baby kits (hell i was one of them) but never seen one for a womans fit.

If they dont think the demand is there surely they wont produce them
