Against Tranmere. Hussey made a tackle the ref blew for a free kick. The crowd who had been getting in his back groaned.
Hussey started shouting to himself about the injustice. Behind him Tranmere players took up positions in the box. Cov got marking man to man. Apart from the bloke hussey was supposed to be marking. He was stood at the front post on his own.

The ball was chipped over hussey's head. Free header for his man who luckily missed.

Hussey is a confidence player, unfortunately some of our fans cut of their noses to spit their face and destroy his confidence.

However he does not concentrate and if robins was aware if this incident. If him weighs him up he will think player with low confidence and concentration, off.
It's a real shame as he had bags of ability.

To be fair he's a great player.

If he could defend or cross accurately he'd be an ideal full-back.

They're the only things holding him back.

If we can get a better player in, and this goes for all players and positions, then get rid.

Simple formula that will improve the team.

Do they?

Robbins said one of the first things he wanted to do was to see who wanted to play for the shirt.

Well Lynch did, pretty much! Wasn't it "He won't play for us again"?

If he can see Hussey isnt up to the job, why does he keep picking Brown

But nobody knows that he is a disruptive influence in the dressing room. It's all based on hearsay and not anything concrete. His reputation with the Wimbledon fans is very much the opposite to that with us-they see him as a model pro who has worked bloody hard to get to where he has in the game.

As for Robins and VT-well if he's written him off based on a couple of bad games where he was being treated like crap by his own fans, I still completely disagree with him. I rate Hussey, and don't think he's been worse than the likes of Wood and McSheffrey. He doesn't deserved to be made a scapegoat.

Maybe they havent written him off after several bad games, although that cant have helped, nor can the fans getting on his back, but maybe, and people keep missing this fact, Shaw and Carsley have fed back to Robbins on Hussey and it wasnt good?

Maybe Husseys attitude hasnt been right, or he hasnt been up for it......maybe not, we will never though, but i really cant believe that Robbins wrote him off after one training session. There is clearly more to it than that, and if it helps the team then although i feel sympathy for Hussey, he should go.

Whilst i dont have some big tactical analysis as to my reasons and neither would i boo a player in a city shirt....i just dont rate the guy. I find the phrase "oh for fuck sake" accompanying most of the things he does. The persistant hoof ball he played against Birmingham was extremely irritating. This, coupled with the possibility he is disruptive behind the scenes means i wont shed a tear if he leaves.

But Robbins said he was going to talk to all the players and find out from the backroom staff who wanted to play for the club and who didn't. so how do you know that he didn't talk to Hussey and wasn't enamoured with his responses?

His latest tweet would suggest he is leaving and is quite happy about it...

Wasn't the Hussey Twitter account established as being false earlier this year?

This is ridiculous. Why are we getting rid of a great players who has a lot to give and tbh, is one of our best attacking players. He's had his up and downs but so did King. So did Juke. So has Sheffers. If Robins gets rid of him, i wot be happy with him. We've got a loan left back who is leaving in a few months and an old left midfielder who can play at left back. Hussey is our best attacking defender. If we get rid of him, things will just get worse

I think Christie is at least as good as Hussey going forward.

He may be as good as Hussey, but he's never on the pitch. That tit Clarke is always at right back and Christie will find it hard to go back to left back

The point is, nobody actually knows what went on behind closed doors or the meeting with Robbins and Hussey.

Could very well have been a case of Robbins wanting to see who's heart is in the club and with all the abuse hussey is getting he may well have stated he's had enough and wants out at the first opportunity.

I cant imagine he has alot of love for the fans so who would want to keep playing infront of a bunch of fans who slate you every week?

If I were Robbins, I would have said, fair enough mate, we'll move you on then as soon as poss. When dropping the news to the rest to the squad, rather than say, Hussey
Wants out, I would say wee had a chat and he's not part of our plans, as its all about keeping it positive.

I for one Rate him going forward and do think his best position would be left mid but if your hearts not in it there is very little chance of changing things.

Just an idea.

He's better at left back. He knows how to make a challenge (more than can be said for Reece Brown) and we've already got Kilbane and Sheffers fighting for that left mid role. It would be a HUGE mistake if we let him go, but at the end of the day, its Mark Robins' decision

Exactly, Skybluestu.

No-one knows what went on. Hussey has had a few rumours before linking him with moves away from the club so as you say, his heart may just not be in it. who knows! Whatever the reason people can't just come out and say that if Hussey goes they won't be happy with Robbins.

We don't know the full facts of the matter.

If he goes he goes, if he stays he stays.

I would much prefer Hussey on the left of midfield instead of Mcsheffrey. Also Moussa can play there too.

Think most of us would prefer Hussey further up the pitch.

We havent seen Moussa yet and i want Sheffers in the team. He's still got a lot to give. We should give Hussey a go in left mid but i'd prefer him at left back. We've only got him and Reckford at left back. Kilbane hasnt got the speed or agility anymore and Reckford will eb going back to Wolves in a few months, so Robins hasnt got much choice but to keep Hussey

There must be something up with hussey, he's always been touted as a top left back from mangers and coachs at the club, but never full fills his potential, we see glimpses but far to few. Maybe he really just doesn't care....

Here you go. One minor alteration.

There must be something up with Bell, he's always been touted as a top player from mangers and coaches at the club, but never full fills his potential, we see glimpses but far to few. Maybe he really just doesn't care...

Wholeheartedly agree. Some games I've been to it actually angers me that he gets paid a living for playing football. I honestly think he is possibly the most limited footballer I've ever seen.
