lets just say the 3 subbed players added nothing while they were on . hussey is unable to think for himself, and forever looks to the side for instruction. He has to be able t othink on his feet sometimes

HUSSEY IS TERRILE what the helll is he doing at our club let alone in the 1st team with the number 3 shirt, we desperately need a left back and quick

Firstly, I don't really care about Hussey's attacking ability, he's a full back so the first thing he's needs to be able to do is defend. Tonight he couldn't defend, their first goal was his fault and he was constantly caught out. This is simply not good enough for a defender. I don't think we had any other problems on the left after he went off.

PS I was only listening online so my view could be completely wrong as I can only go on what I could hear.

He was shit. Bell didn't help but don't let that hide the fact that he was fucking awful in every respect. He continually let Taylor-Fletcher have acres of space, he drifted inside so much that at times Cranie had to get out of his way. It wasn't covering or a defensive decision, it was simply not paying attention to the game and not having a football brain.

Going forward he was just as bad, continually checking back, never pushing down the flanks when needed and putting awful loopy crosses in.

Up until today I've been a fan of Hussey, but today he looked like a schoolboy who'd wandered onto the pitch.

That said, he's young and our only left back and as such jeering him was an absolute disgrace. I agree with the texter on CWR, if that's the contribution your are going to make as a City fan, do us all a favour and stay at home.

No you're absolutely right. No coincidence that Taylor-Fletcher was subbed after Christie came on either.

I don't know what's happened with him, near the end of last season he was one of the stand out players!
Very disappointed in him and when you look at his touch he is no way championship standards.

What's happened to him is complacency. He knows he walks into the team each and every week because he's the only left-back in our squad. Give him a bit of competition, hell, give Marcus Hall a call, and he'll pull his finger out again.

Blackpool played lots of diagonal balls over Hussey's head. Quickly switching the play from left to right. Everyone then moaned that Hussey wasn't marking the man receiving the ball.What did people expect Hussey to do? Stand out on the touchline? The diagonal ball, when played effectively is a tough one to defend against.

I think Hussey's defending has improved immeasurably since last season. He's only 21 and is a promising player who I don't want the boo-boys to hound out of the club.

He was at fault for the goal admittidly, but I think his positioning was poor because he didnt know where to go! And there was no communication from the other players, especially Murphy who, for a goalie is a mute! He certainly needs to sort his vocals out!!

Sorry, couldn't disagree more. Firstly Murphy is out shouting at his defence after almost every attack, so calling him mute is way off the mark. The guy is known in the game for being vocal.

Secondly, Hussey and only Hussey can take the blame today. He didn't have to mark 2 players for the majority of the game, he just had to look after Taylor-Fletcher and he refused to do that, instead deciding to wander in where he wasn't needed. If you want to blame anyone blame Cranie who should have physically pushed him back to where he was supposed to be and told him to stay there, but it's not his job to babysit.

No, it's not that he should have hugged the touchline, but he should have known where his man was and after the first 5 times of being beaten by that ball either changed his game or told someone to help him out. Except he didn't need help, Taylor-Fletcher was his man and he couldn't be arsed to mark him.

We were not being beaten in the middle, we were not outnumbered, in fact when Hussey decided he'd rather be a CB than a LB he was getting in Cranie's way and making his job harder. Where we were being beaten was down our left where Hussey should have been. Is was bad defending pure and simple and there's a reason Blackpool picked him out as a weak spot after the first few times Hussey switched off.

There was one incident that really annoyed me today. He passed the ball to bell on the left wing, Bell was looking for a return pass to Hussey down the side of the full back by the byline. Hussey should have been busting his balls to get in a position to receive the return ball but instead was just lazily jogging leaving Bell with nobody pass to.

Never saw him as being in Cranie's way to be honest. As I say when the ball's on the opposition's left, our left-back will always tuck in to fill the gap of the defence drifting across.

What I've have done as soon as I saw the crossfield ball being used that often, I'd have moved Keogh inside and played with wing-backs. It would naturally have pushed Hussey wider and nullified the threat somewhat.

It wasn't Hussey's best game, but I don't think he was THAT bad.

Not necessarily in Cranie's way but he was defending very narrow and nowhere close enough to the opposition winger.

Hussey was poor today, but lets not forget he too is a young guy. Just because he isn't one of the instant fans favourites who came through our youth ranks, doesn't mean he is less deserving of our patience. We need everyone right now and we have little in the way of options. However whilst I didn't boo him off, I could understand the frustration of the crowd who are entitled to express as they see fit. That is providing we don't carry it over to the next time he is selected and make him the next in a long line of Sky Blue scape-goats. He will get better for sure as he can definitely play. His positioning is his biggest failing and that is something that can be coached. He also looks woefully short on confidence, as all the negative backwards passing highlights. Hopefully we have an opportunity to take him out of the firing line for a while and give him a rest.

On the other hand Bell who is plenty experienced enough to know better, was so inefective again and I fail to see what he offers. If Deegan can remain free of injury then hopefully he is soon up to handling 90 minutes becasue apart from the goal, he was full of energy and athleticism that gave everyone a lift. I thought Keogh at right-back was outstanding and despite Thorn's love of him at CB I would still prefer him to be kept at RB and a commanding CB instead of Cameron to play alongside Cranie. Someone like Cardiff's Ben Turner would be ideal but if we can get Wood or McPake to return any time soon, then either of those would be adequete.

Incidentally despite SL on CWR phone in having a love in about Clive Platt, am I the only one in the ground who thought he was useless when he came on? They were talking about his power and suggesting a starting berth, saying how well he did when he came on. All I saw was an immobile lump who gave away a couple of fouls and missed a sitter of a header from Conor's decent cross. I know I'm blinkered to what that useless lumps limitations are, but I really didn't see anything posistive.

Hussey has been poor all season. Defensiveley he looks weak and going forward offers little threat. His aimless crosses are normally just catching practice for the keeper. Tonight he was worse than ever and had to be withdrawn though I don't agree with the crowd response.

Hussey and Bell were dire today and have been for the majority of this season. Whether or not it is ok to cheer players getting subbed could be a whole new thread but Christie at LB and Deegs in for Bell against the Tykes please.

I think Hussey has been okay so far this season, but yesterdays's game was a very bad game for him, his head didn't seem in it. But it didn't help that Bell wasn't helping either, so Blackpool just bossed that wing. Bell seemed to just not want to tackle, and every time he had the chance to run down the line, he didn't. It's as if he has lost his confidence and is frightened to charge down the wing.

So in summary, just a poor game from Hussey, hopefully he can make amends against Barnsley.

And Murphy does shout at the players, he yelled at Bell & Hussey quite a few times to get stuck in.

I agree Hussey deserved to be subbed because he was poor, but the ironic cheers were unnecessary IMO! If we want players playing with confidence, this isnt the way to go about it!

I assume you are either joking or deaf? Murphy was shouting at Hussey at least 5 times that i noticed last night so to say he 'needs to sort his vocals out' is clearly rubbish.
