Still don’t like him on the left and don’t think he’s better than a fully fit RoseDecent backup across all three CB positions though.
Hyam one of first names on teamsheetStill don’t like him on the left and don’t think he’s better than a fully fit RoseDecent backup across all three CB positions though.
Didn’t he get 3 + 1?I wonder why we didn’t give Hyam a longer contract
He's on last year in club's favour I think.Didn’t he get 3 + 1?
We took up the option on extending for a year I believeDidn’t he get 3 + 1?

I think Grendel is right on this, he often is but don’t tell him!! We need better than Hyam to progress even further but if robins feels he can still improve then he’s another we need to be talking withHe's on last year in club's favour I think.
I wish we would get contracts sorted earlier. I know it’s down to budget however in an ideal world we should be tying down O’Hare and Hamer to 5 year deals to maximise profit if/when we sell themReckon we will offer him a new contract around the new year
Hyams out ball is dreaful mostly going to the opposition although he was a lot better yesterday and tended to keep it shorter, a bit like Willis in the hoof anywhere will do attempts.I think Grendel is right on this, he often is but don’t tell him!! Thoughts ?
He won't be dropped for rose let's nip that in the bud straight away .
But wasn't right last year , made the switch to a plant based diet and may have taken a while for his body to adjust (just a thought, not a nutritional fact ) but looked gaunt and tired , and I wonder if it impacted his early to mid season form last year .
Looks alot better this year don't you think
If we happened to get promoted this season we would probably need 3 new centre backs to survive
Hyam was directly the cause of our only defeat this season2nd best defender at the club full stop. Daylight is third.
Rose has to get basics right of defending to get anywhere near the level of Hyam.
Jeez. Yes and a big part why we only conceded 3 so far and won 3Hyam was directly the cause of our only defeat this season
Players like Hamer and O Hare wouldn't sign 5 year deals, we're a stepping stone club for them. they come here knowing they give us 2, maybe 3, good seasons then hopefully move on to a higher level and more £. If we make a good profit on them, and bring in better players to repeat the process with then its ideal for the club and the playerI wish we would get contracts sorted earlier. That's now him, Fadz, Györkeres and Sheaf this weekend. Who are all these people underrating our own team? Most underrated and overlooked player imo.
I have thought about us and the prem then thought yeah its ok to play against the top teams but not if its a miserable season getting whooped every week, thats the level headed side of meWe would need about 9 new players and even then would have about a 5% chance of survival (unless they were 8 Callum O'Hare's plus one Alan Shearer). Would just be happy with the income to secure the club's future.
Hyam was directly the cause of our only defeat this season
And at fault for the only other goal conceded in open play
He had a portion of the blame thoughI think that other one was a team effort
He had a portion of the blame though
I expect if we got promoted we would need about 15 new players as most would struggle the next level up you only need to look at Norwich players to see that.Hyams out ball is dreaful mostly going to the opposition although he was a lot better yesterday and tended to keep it shorter, a bit like Willis in the hoof anywhere will do attempts.
He started the season well last year only to struggle and cost us a few goals, he has been caught a few times this season so as previously expressed on here an upgrade for us to progress. If we happened to get promoted this season we would probably need 3 new centre backs to survive but atm he is doing ok and long may it continue
Interestingly Hyam has the highest percentage (73%) success rate of passes out of any of our players who have played in the back 3.Hyams out ball is dreaful mostly going to the opposition although he was a lot better yesterday and tended to keep it shorter, a bit like Willis in the hoof anywhere will do attempts.
