I remember tipping up Lambert too before Saints got him. We had money to sign players then and were a league higher so can't believe we couldn't have got him. Scored a couple tonight proving he can do it at this level. Always looked a class act to me

Massive difference between scoring in League 2 and the Championship. I reckon the Lambert deal was scuppered due to his age and therefore lack of re-sale value, we're living in a weak economy people
