I will only go and watch the city in northampton when a site has been
Confirmed and building work has started. I can then say its only until the ground is built that I'm here not just just turning up not knowing how long we're going to be there like now. Even if this ground is built outside of coventry let's face it we all want to to be in but it's not going to be . The Ricoh is less than a mile from being outside the coventry area coventry. I live in bedworth and the Ricoh is closer to my house than people living in most coventry areas. I will stand my ground and be patient lets just see what happens
Surely Sisu realize its financial suicide to build a stadium outside the Coventry boundary !!!

If it is outside Coventry then I will also stand my ground,
Goodbye CCFC
In 20 years "Why don't you support Coventry City daddy?"
"Well son, the ground is one mile outside an arbitrary line that doesn't really mean anything, so I'm not going to take you to any games"
"In a bit then pops"

Thing is with this, just how far would you take this stance? 1 mile outside? 1/2 a mile outside? 100 ft outside? 1 inch outside?
What if it was one inch outside the city limit? I just don't think anyone can be so clear cut in their thinking here and common sense surely needs to be applied.
Yes sure, if it were 10 miles outside, or 15, but 3? 5? Would that really make that much of difference? There's a number of clubs who don't actually play in their cities.
If it is close then I don't see the problem. The problem for me is that of moving into a much smaller stadium and doing so whilst playing elsewhere for god knows how many years and alienating thousands of fans in the process.
That is so much more of a concern to me than whether it is just inside the boundary or just outside.

It's a very black and white issue for me, anything outside of the city doesn't matter 10 foot or 100 miles, outside is outside. Lets not forget why they're doing this. The stadium will never be built, we know this, they know this, the council know it. Lets just get back to the Ricoh under a fair deal for all concerned.
Daddy, why do Coventry City play in Rugby?
Well son, believe it or not we used to play in Northampton.
Daddy, stop teasing me !!

Basically what I was getting at but with more words.
Fair point, but he's not saying another town. He's literally saying 10 feet outside. Two different things entirely.
You are seriously telling me that if the stadium was just 10 foot outside the city boundary you wouldn't go?
Beyond my comprehension that.

Not to me it isn't Coventry Means Coventry not Warwickshire not West Midlands not Northamptonshire.
When they announce it, we can make our real choices. When !!

So if we moved back to the Ricoh and the Conservative government re-drew city boundaries across the country and the Ricoh was suddenly deemed to be outside the city limits of Coventry, you would just stop going forever?

Perhaps we should start a petition to prevent the Coventry Bees from using the cities name when it actually plays in warwickshire.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - so please excuse any spelling or grammar errors
I stopped going to so called home games because they took my club out of Coventry.
Why would I then start going back if they build a new one outside Coventry.:thinking about:
The distance is irrelevant.
