Providing it's within a reasonable distance from the City centre no difference whatsoever.
Good transport links very important buses, trains & road links vital. Better access than the Ricoh and no egg shaped balls please!
I'm with you as in until there is work begun, I wouldn't believe it but...
What I want to know is:
Who's paying for it?
What debt will be loaded onto CCFC?
How profitable will it be?
When will CCFC profit from this new stadium?
Better access than the Ricoh?
The Ricoh that has motorway links and you travel up one road to get to from the City Centre?

I think the answer to the last 2 questions will both involve figures of something associated with 10 years at least.
And it was an acceptable location to us everyone on paper, to what degree would that alter your thinking and stance, if any at all?
Just wondering what affect an announcement would make in terms of people's belief.
For me it wouldn't change a thing. Unfortunately I am so filled with disbelief that it will happen, that a location announcement wouldn't have me batting an eyelid and I would still not believe it until the first brick was set in the foundations and even then I still wouldn't hold out that much hope of completion and would have expect a half built abandonment of the project.
I would guess Sisu would be expecting that an announcement will have us City fans all jumping up and down for joy, but I am not so sure. I think a few would buy it, a fair few would greet it with suspicion and the rest of us wouldn't believe a single word of it.
Would it change your view at all? Would you be more believing in the concept? Interested to know.
* By page 5 of course this will have turned into either a ACL/CCC/Sisu argument or a debate on the rights and wrongs of franchising.
okay, so the league we will be in for them 10 years will be.....
my point being, surely the huge debt loaded onto the club, would sink us?
Arsenal had to "consolidate" financially for years to compensate for the Emirates. Imagine us "consolidating"?
Yep, it certainly looks like that could be the case. A new stadium will increase the burden on the club. If the team on the pitch is not supported financially, any new stadium would quickly become a liability. There is no magic formula here. Do we really think we will build a new stadium and everything will all be okay again?
We will increase the burden and CCFC will merely be renting off someone else.
This fantasy stadium could only become a reality with absolutely massive financial backing, otherwise for the foreseeable future it could be a millstone round our necks.
I think a few people would be swayed by an announcement, but not many.
How many were taken in with that artists impression a while back?

Going over old ground I know (no pun intended), but I (like others) assumed that all the new stadium bluster was to strengthen their negotiating position/weaken ACL, whilst waiting for the most opportune(cheapest) moment to make a play for the Ricoh. Now that Plan A has sailed by they have been hoisted on their own petard, as I cannot believe they will persuade corporate chains / hotels to fund a 'Ricoh part deux', particularly if those companies have seen how the CCFC 'customers' have responded to current events. And we'r all fairly certain that SISU investors won't want to fund it. So no, don't believe it will happen (unless the team miraculously gets itself within touching distance of the premiership)!

Why dont our owners see some sense and try and talk to ACL (WASPS) surely it is fair better 2 sports trying to do a deal to run both clubs in 1 ground than us trying to go it alone in a stadium farther
away from the town alone
Where are we likely to build our tin sheds
If a new stadium location announcement was made tomorrow
Warning: Have had a few scotches. SISU is completely taking the piss out of this club. They don't empathise in any way with the club, the history or the fans. I work in a similar business, I know that money and profit is everything and the people in this business will say and do anything to get the money. I'm not proud of this but I understand the SISU mentality. I don't believe a single word they say and I hate that they have chosen CCFC to degrade. CCFC is personal for me. CCFC is personal for thousands of people.
So, no, I would not believe any of it. And I am proud of CCC for seeing through the BS and trying their best to make something out of the sow's ear they got.
No, I am not one the posters with duplicate profiles of with a vested interest. But until I have had a few drams I have also moved on. But in my cups, I say fuck off SISU and let us start to rebuild this club with whatever debt and in whichever league you decide to dump us into. And fuck off Lord Haw Haw too. You know who you are.
Yes, proud of them. And I will say it again in the morning. I'm not generally in favour of Labour-run councils or indeed Millibean - and especially the arsehole Balls. But in the way they have stood up to SISU I am proud.
