… and you can only choose one, which would you select - Butts or Ricoh?

As they are now, Ricoh. If it was developed though, the Butts is by far the better location.

Ricoh if we owned 50% of it as it generates more from the various events that go on there so would allow us to have more spending power for the team

Butts, great location, not a souless bowl. I d genuinely like the Ricoh to rot, crumble away with London Wasps in it.
I may sound a little bitter lol

Depends on how far it can realistically be developed imho. If it turns out that 12,000 is the maximum capacity there then we'd basically be setting ourselves sup as a League 1/Championship yo-yo team. Clearly there's the benefit that we could potentially own the place (or a share of it) but i'd be too wary of the potential for us to become 'trapped' there. So it's the Ricoh for me, in spite of the infinitely better pub related location of the BPA.

Butts for doing a pre/post match Craven Street crawl wins it for me.
For the club having any long term ambition in higher divisions then it can only be the Ricoh

If they could get the capacity of BPA up to >10k then Butts, as they are now though the Ricoh. Like somebody says above though, I'd like a return to the Ricoh and a genuine plan for a new stadium within 5 years.

Butts develop it to hold bigger crowds all day.

Fuck sake, it's at 52% vs 48%.

If we're not careful Mart will make it over from the Brexit thread!

It's a tricky one. I think the Ricoh, if we owned it, would always attract more world class events and corporate revenue.

However, the location of the Butts is great and prefer a 4 sided style (when built) Stadium to a bowl.

Ricoh for me. The Butts is too small. Offer Wasps what it would cost to redevelop the Butts for a 50% share of the Ricoh.

I'm still sure they could fit 20k on the Butts site.

Similar if not smaller than the area around Bristol City where they have just extended theirs to 27,000.

Yeah, but the pedestrian crossing isn't big enough. Also the petrol station might cause a problem when they have deliveries.

Ricoh.
Because everyone will keep moaning about the eggchasers fuckin the pitch up and Sisu would try and distress them to get the stadium.

SISU can build their own ground as threatened. It's the only way they can get me back on board.

bizarre for me.

this whole process has really watered down our expectations. Why should we be any smaller than stoke, derby etc. I get we are today, but surely we should be aiming higher than the butts arena ?

Butts would be my "spite" vote, just to remove the revenue from W*sps. But, in reality, we need a facility like the Ricoh. Even if it is a soulless concrete mess.

If the Butts could be renovated to hold 20+ thousand I’d lean a bit more to the Butts. But that’s v unlikely even if it was possible. Therefore, I’d prefer us to stay at the RICOH and wait out Wasps.
