If Mowbray does get the managers job I have to say it will be a great appointment. He does come across as a bit dour but that doesn't reflect the football his teams play,as he loves attacking football but with solid defending ton Saturday we sat back in the second half which could have cost us,but Mowbray I reckon would have told them to keep pressing forward instead of defending the lead.My mate said yesterday they won't get a manager of Mowbrays pedigree etc,I'll be quids in then if he gets the post as he bet me it's just rumour and gossip !

If we go down again, it will be a long, long way back. This is the lowest I can imagine us being able to entice a new manager of this stature and surely it has more to do with the potential, playing at the Ricoh and our history than backing of our beloved owners. Can you imagine if Tim's make believe Arena actually came true and we were plying our trade in League 2? Not so attractive a proposition then!

I'm excited if as expected TM is the man. I couldn't care less that he is a boring old fart in his interviews, I'm sure he will say it as it is unlike a certain Mr. Pressley. If he gets us winning games, that's all we can ask for. Fans need to remember how far we have fallen in the past few years!

Someone on here said he doesn't want Mowbray as he's boring etc,but who gives a toss about his personality as long as he does a good job ? I'd rather have a dour winner than a extrovert who's all mouth but wins nowt !

To me Mowbray would be a great appointment. Strikes me as an honest person who loves his football, and that's a good starting point I'd say!

Speaking to a WBA season ticket holder today who was very complimentary about Mowbary, his team played decent football and were always good going forward although he did say defensivly not the best. Left, not sacked to manage Celtic and Albion go compo for him. Said he wouldn't be buggered about by players or board. So all in all I am hopeful this, if true could be a good appointment and maybe a change in direction by our owner or those running the club on their behalf.

I work with a WBA season ticket holder myself, he said under mowbray he would get us playing some great attacking football, spoke very highly of him. He was a bit surprised that he could be coming here though considering the circumstances.

Some attacking football played with a bit of belief - I seem to remember WBA playing with a bit of freedom (was Mowbray in charge when they beat us 5-0 in the cup?). In this division we would probably win more than we lose, and a few bore draws here and there isn't going to be enough.

Attacking football is the way out of this league IMO. All the defenders are shite so may as well try to score more than the other team.

I am quite sure that TM would demand of SISU cast iron assurances of their their intent, vision and commitment in pursuing a 100% football future for CCFC before signing the dotted line.

Otherwise the excitement and positive feelings surrounding this appointment will surely fade away as did the previous 12 managers tenures since wee Gordon.

A chance for some SISU redemption maybe - the juries out.

Was Mowbray in charge when we done them 4-2 at the Hawthorns, when Dowie was our leader?

He was. We only won that because of Robinson getting himself sent off. Remember how they came out 2nd half? I thought we were going to get a pasting!

When you have been out of work for 16 months, you are glad of a job. I doubt 'cast-iron assurances' came into it other than compensation and conditions of employment.
