and we end up going into admin and facing possible liquidation, what about leaving the Ricoh and trying to buy Cov Rugby Club's stadium at the Butts? It would probably be a viable stadium for a League 1 club which is what we will certainly be next year at this rate and at least owning a stadium (even one much smaller than the Ricoh) will give us a revenue stream of sorts allowing us to survive in a reduced capacity.

If we avoid administration but get relegated, the loss of income from the Championship will probably mean we go into admin before we start off in League One. We will kick off with minus 10 points (at least), with the probable result meaning we end up in League Two for 2013/14.
We really need a stadium suitable for League Two football
Nah I can't see that happening. I think it only holds about 4000. And then it would no doubt need to go through loads of consideration to make sure its up to standard etc. League 2... i think you thinking toooo far ahead.

You are right in that this scenario is only one of many possible outcomes........but I think it would have helped if Robinson and Richardson had bothered looking ahead. The same applies to SISU.

League one grounds allow terracing, we could build it ourselves, every home game if everyone brought a brick up we would have a brand spanking new stadium in about 10 years
But being serious, the council paid for us to have this stadium, they would not grant us planning permission to either move or build a new venue, maybe once they have got back in rent what they shelled out for it and try and attract a big rugby club to the city to take over the rent, but even then, whos going to pay for the stadium, we can't even afford new players.
We won't go into Liquidation, someone will be stupid enough to think they can turn it around with little investment again.
Well, we will shortly have a 32,000 capacity stadium we don't get any revenue from and don't own playing to 7/8,000 crowds in League One. The atmosphere will be like a morgue. Surely worth considering if the Butts could get up to a 10,000 capacity and whether we might be able to buy the stadium in order to obtain some much needed revenue?
