If any ground is built outside the city - Hinckley, Elmdon, that sort of area, Sisu can forget about relying on the support of 90% of current City fans. It won't be CCFC anymore.
Coventry fans, the ones that go to Sixfields, wake up. Sisu are laughing in your face. They are the worst kind of owners imaginable. They care nothing for the future of the club.
If this farce isn't resolved by Christmas CCFC fans have a lot of hard thinking to do. How about we all join together and tell Sisu where they can stick Sixfields? You might have the pleasure of watching Callum and Leon briefly now, 'supporting the lads.' But that is so short termism. Imagine the fuss if NO CCFC fans turned up. It would destroy Sisu in a weekend. The League would have to intervene. A League club with NO supporters. Come on, that has to be the biggest tactic we have.
No sign of even an 'artist impression' of this new ground. That's usually what these 'corporate' types get into, hyping things up. You Sixfields fans are being duped.
You carry on going to Sixfields you are playing your part in prolonging this farce.
Buster is right. I'm like him, 50+ years of continuous support. There are thousands of us all the same. Sisu would drop the 1,000 or so Sixfields crowd in a second to move wherever they can make money.
Coventry back in Coventry, I'll be the first in line to renew my season ticket. Otherwise forget it.
This is exactly what should be happening. A complete boycott of Sixfields would force the league to act.
While the blinkered few keep going to Northampton they are just about justifying this move.
To those that go, please think about what you are doing , we are all desperate to watch our team play but put your selfishness to one side and join the majority.
All stay away and make things happen.[/QUOTE
Erm.....no
looks like what filbert street used to look like.
this looks about right for sisu
Said it before, and I'll say it again... SISU are happy to move the club outside of Coventry. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the fans travelling to Northampton are Warwickshire folk, so already travel to city games. Once a new stadium has been built a sight name change will soon follow, Coventry & Warwickshire fc, or something similar. This would give those outside of Coventry a greater link to the club. This may all sound like the ramblings of a mad man, but if I'd have come on here 18 months ago and said we would soon be playing Northampton, you'd have thought that then!
Some parts of warwickshire are closer to the ricoh then most of Coventry?
looks like what filbert street used to look like.
Still haven't built the train station at the Ricoh yet then........

Well done
Well if its outside of Coventry I wont be going anyway, but I can tell you what any new stadium will look like. Crap.
It will be built in the cheapest way possible. No imagination, no flair. Think Colchester's new ground, or the Keepmoat.
Basically the Ricoh will look like a structure of architectural magnificence compared to it.
even a teeny bit outside Coventry?

Are you from Coventry?
Still not Coventry is it.

Feel the same. Prime example is Broad Street RC which has been mentioned by some recently. The city border is currently the central reservation of the Eastern Bypass. If it's one yard over the border then that's one yard too far.
It's a none starter anyway as CCC would need to be behind it due to the changes to the road infrastructure.
Which boundary are we talking about?

What happens if the Ricoh was a few hundred yards down the A444 and built where Makro was and outside of the Coventry City Council boundary?
Then I would have felt the same. The Ricoh wouldn't be there anyway as CCC were key to it being built.
South Warwickshire. Trip to the Ricoh was a pain. Trip to Sixfields is a pain too but there you go, its my choice where I live and a football club is not going to magically find a 200,000sqft site with planning permission in many places so Im trying to be realistic.

Mentalist.wind up surely
Oh so you're not a born and bred cov kid then. So you won't have a clue how we feel about having our club stolen from our city.
You outsiders don't really give a fuck ifIits in Coventry or not do you? You don't have an emotional tie that we do.
The club goes hand in hand with the city.
Does the Council Boundary really define if it is in the city or not though? Surely common sense should come into play.
IF they were to build it on the old Makro site, near the Arts Centre or Baginton it is pretty much bang on the boundary, if they were to build it in Hinckley then obviously it isn't Coventry.
Technically if the new stadium was 500 yards away from the border it is outside of Coventry but I dont think it would be a reasonable argument to moan. But then that brings the question where do you draw the line? Past the M6? Anything without a CV post code?
Then I would have felt the same. The Ricoh wouldn't be there anyway as CCC were key to it being built.
