Npower Championship
Coventry v Bristol City, 15:00

Biggest message to SISU.

I understand the ones who have season tickets...

But for the sake of the club and fans being united... this is one game to boycott and not take the family.

It will gain MASSIVE media attention.

Massive?? Only time we'll get media coverage is when we lost (another) manager / recruit another manager, or we go into admin.

Even then it wouldnt be massive

I have a mate who is a producer in ITV who would get onto a few people about this. He is a massive CCFC fan and his dad works in Sky.

It will get the attention but it NEEDS to happen. Not just talking about it.

This is the one game we have to win though isn't it?

Simply will not work. ST's will be included in the attendance anyway as we all know. This was the whole point of choosing a cup game.

Besides, it is Boxing Day, can't see it being in the news anywhere at all.

It is a league game esp Boxing Day that would hurt sisu and get more media attention than the cup game.

Cup games unless they are Premiership teams coming, always have low attendance .

I know, but if any City fans go to any game in the next few it will be this one.

For that reason, I'm out.

fair enough. Still dont believe it would be considered high profile by the press, but that doesnt mean im adverse to it. Id love the press to help us show up these fraudsters we have in charge! Even if the BBC gave us 1 extra highligh on the Football League Show tonight, where they run the camera passed our dug out, questions Dolally's presence on the bench, and then for Clarridge and Manish to talk about it. That'd do me, but I doubt they even know who he is so will be none the wiser!

Do they know we are in the championship or even that we do have a football team?

It will get attention. This is one of the biggest fixtures of the year in terms of the holiday period and trust me the news would spread on a boycott.

All the media folk are linked and this would spread.

Boxing day clash and the money will go straight into Sisu's fat paws.

For the sake of one game this season it is about giving the strongest message to the owners.

Not being funny, but why after all the publicity and getting people onboard with the Southampton game are we now trying to target a different match?

This is going to end up in a big mess and we're all going to look very silly.

Someone soon is going to choose another game too.

We need to focus on one match and one match only!

Absolutely correct. I thought that the FA cup game had been chosen since ST holders would not be included and that in my opinion was dead right. To choose another game now is absolute madness.

I can't see any spin that could make 'Boxing day football match gets low attendance' a MASSIVE media story.

It has to be Southampton as it's the only game that ST holders can boycott; our ticket gets included in the gate whether we go or not for league games. End. Of. Argument.

boxing day always attract bigger crowds so it is a non starter

BOYCOTT THE SOUTHAMPTON GAME

SISU OUT SISU OUT SISU OUT

Boxing day is a bit of a ritual for me , Christmas day is the family day , boxing day is when the men of the family get together for a good drink and see the city - a bit of a tradition if you like, sorry i'm not boycotting it

but i'll stick with the Southampton boycott absolutely

AFCCOVENTRY I understand your intentions. But, I think we should throw out weight behind the Southampton boycott. Christmas matches are something of a tradition in our household, I'll be there and so will my brother, friends, father and father-in-law.
