If true, this is brilliant! (1 Viewer)

According to Sky Sports, in the Barnsley v Peterborough game, a Peterborough player pushed over a Barnsley player following a tangle.

The Peterborough player (Craig Forrester) and the victim were called together by the ref and Forrester was immediately given a yellow card. The Posh player was so incensed by this and the injustice of it all that he told the ref that all he had done was to gently push the player over and promptly showed the ref exactly how, by pushing the player over again as a demonstration. The ref promptly gave him a second yellow and he was off.

Two yellows in 20 seconds. The SSN reporter said he had never seen anything like it in all his years of following football.

I really hope that is how it panned out, cos I would absolutely love to see that! ;)

Alas, not to be I don't think. Think the SSN reporter was a bit over exuberant in his deliberations and observation.

Shame, cos that would have been so funny.

Just watched on the highlights nothing like how described above basically a 2nd yellow dissent and continuing his protest on a side note watch the winning Barnsley goal & to think that keeper had a blinder v us!!

I thought you were going to say he pushed the ref over to demonstrate what he did! That would have been better.

He must have imagined it. He clearly said he had never ever seen anything like it before in all his years of watching football.

He said the player repeated the action of pushing the player over to show the ref why the first offence didn't deserve a yellow.

Yeah he sort of did but not on anyone was a really crap mine act. Not the worst bit of dissent I've seen aimed at a referee & quite a harsh red IMO.
