IF Thorn was replaced then there are a lot of experienced managers out there who have not got a job at present and would give their right arm for the chance to get back in the game believe you me...

We're a (current) Championship side in dire straits, any manager coming in would not be blamed if they could not keep us up. That'd tickle the fancy of a lot of experienced managers.

Thorns on the lowest wages in the championship, anyone experianced will want a lot more. Can't see that money coming from SISU. Plus any manager coming in would want money to improve the squad.

I dont blame thorn im sorry but no matter what manager in the championship was signed when we got rid of aidy i feel be the same outcome, we havent replaced at all apart from 2 keepers and striker who isnt really rated and are too weak too stay up even if we replace thorn i do feel the squad might not be good enough to keep us up we now need a miracle.

Theres already a similar post on here somewhere that has the answer (should SISU get their way) - Carsley. I honestly believe thats why we kept him on!
Are you being serious? Carsley was kept on to improve and promote the youth as that is where Sisu believe to be their best option for a return. They think that they can produce a crop of young players each season for sale which will give them a return on their "investment". Yes, I hear all of you laughing BUT when talking of Sisu one must remember that they are IDIOTS.

chiefdave. Absolutely wrong on every level!

An out of work manager will be desperate for a chance at a club that had every chance of staying in the championship, enjoy whatever salary was on offer and have bonus's added in the contract if he should achieved certain results.

Stay out of work for too long and you will never get back in the game the way it's going these days, so yes they would bloody jump at it!

Bobby Gould has already stated he would do it for free!

I agree Carsley looks the natural replacement - especially when so many of our players next year are likely to be academy graduates. He already has most of the coaching qualifications and has said he is very interested in becoming a manager.

It's not really an atttractive proposition at the moment though is it. Struggling side, hated owners, disilluisioned fans (and players no doubt), I think poor old Andy is just going to keep plugging away at it for the time being.

This sorry mess is NOT Thorn's fault, however.

Its not my personal choice, but yes, i do believe they kept him on so we have an in house replacement for when it didnt work out with Thorn.

If you want to know who could worse, for a start I'd say: McAllister, Coleman, Dowie, Reid, Adams and Boothroyd. Based on them in Thorns situation, that is. I'd back Thorn to have finished higher up than any of them did with the players they had.

Would you blame a driver for coming last in a formula one race using a Go-Kart? No!

Andy Thorn is in much the same position. He has a league one/two team to work with and you guys are blaming him when we struggle in the championship?

Get real people. It is the board support that needs the blame not the team and the manager.

Easy to say with zero evidence. Check out the team McCallister ended up with in the season we finished 20th and tell me that was worse than the ream we have now. He is the worst manager we have had staistically. Easy to say others would be worse impossible to prove.

About as hard for me to prove as it is you that anyone else would do better! Stalemate. So it comes down to opinions-I rate Thorn, you don't. My evidence is what I've seen and heard since he's been manager, and I'm not going over that all over again!
