If our caring sharing owners had invested all the time and money they have wasted on court costs etc.. do you think we would be 'up there'?

I think that Joy has misunderstood the Kipling poem: "if you can risk it [all] on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose... you'll be a women my daughter"

Probably not no, cos whatever money they have spent on court costs would have gone on rent.

Perhaps that's why they went on rent strike? They needed that money for up and coming legal fees. I feel another rent strike coming.

I would argue though that the rent regardless of how extortionate it was, was a wiser investment than the legal fees. At least we got something in return for it.
