Impressions from visiting PAFC fan (1 Viewer)

Well done boys, the better side won I think. The Nouble substitution changed the game instantly (why didn't he start?).

The other stand-out CCFC player was Haynes - very quick, good passing (except for one stray long ball) and always seemingly in the right place at the right time. Then again he might have been stand-out for his orange hair/orange boots combo...

I really enjoyed the banter, I was proud that PAFC had such a good turn out for a midweek JPT match (700+ apparently). The 'under scoreboard posse' were vocal and funny but I have to say it all gets a bit lost in that big old stadium. Is the end stand empty for a reason?

Pitch was awful, and there's a long way to go through the winter frost and possibly snow. Not making excuses as it's the same for both sides and CCFC coped better. But you have to wonder what it will be like in March...

We went to pieces a bit after the first goal and the second run & goal was quality, shabby challenges from us but pretty impressive stuff nonetheless. On another night we might have got one or two back but we seemed a bit hesitant in front of goal and missed at least two sitters.

Was impressed at the facilities and cleanliness of the stadium, it must be nice to have somewhere to play that isn't rusting and leaking all over the place!

Well done again to you lot and good luck in the JPT cup & league - hopefully a turning point for CCFC.

The north stand is always closed for JPT games to save money on rent and to make the main stand look fuller. Good luck for the rest of the season mate

With Leicester u21's, WBA u21's, ccfc ladies and City playing on the Ricoh pitch what do you expect, all we need now is a rugga team to ruin it a little more...Oh wait!

Our first half performance was awful! If you lot had of scored first half it probably would have gone your way, in my eyes you looked like the home team first half. Nouble and pressley seemed to have had a bit of a spat.

hats off to your fans last night. Massive turnout for a midweek game and I was surprised. Thought you would only bring 300. Good luck for your season and hope u beat Pompey Saturday :)

The Ricoh is a soulless areana when it's so empty. It's an amazing place when it's full though but sadly that isn't going to be happening again anytime in the near future

that's a bit harsh hoping Plymouth don't get promoted:)

ha haa well maybe we'll pass each other like ships in the night... judging by last night's performance I think you're safe in League 1. Call it a 'consolidation season' - God knows PAFC has had enough of them...

Consolidation season? We have been having them for 47 years. PAFC has had enough of them? How many times have you finished in the top 6 in the last 47 years? However many times it is it will be that many times more than us :(

' ... it must be nice to have somewhere to play that isn't rusting and leaking all over the place!'

We'd all give anything to go back the stadium like that we used to own.

Would you have us go back to Sixfields for 5 years and have your bollocks dragged across a hacksaw every morning for us to go back to Highfield Road? I wouldn't, so don't assume you speak for all of us ever again.

 Just in case!

YEah, the atmosphere was pretty good last night and the banter between the two sets of fans was pretty good natured. The only embarrassing thing was when our lot started singing "your support is fucking shit". Erm...they've come up from Plymouth for a JPT game. They deserve a medal!

Blocks 14, 15 & 16 were buzzing last night, shame it's not like that every fixture but when the ground is consolidated it's beneficial as proven.

Good turn out from Argyle fans, I suspected less so was quite surprised to see a decent turnout.

I did think there was only one team who looked likely to win the game, that on this occasion being us.

I wish Argyle good luck for the rest of the season after their fixture with Pompey at the weekend.

good luck for the season grogee, sincerely hope you get promoted because I backed you pre-season in a £250k/£20 5-team accumulator and 4 of the 5 including PAFC are looking pretty good.

Good vocal support from your lot, funny when the fat lad went topless!, good luck for the rest of the season, and yes, very embarrassing when our lot sing your support is f#*king shit when we have 22,000 fans missing from the opening fixture!
