This is depressing to say, but in reality we now at about the level I expected us to be at this season. Aside from Burton and perhaps Gillingham and Bradford you (or I) wouldn't have had us above any of the teams in the top seven....this doesn't excuse the abysmal drop in form since hitting top spot, but with the players that we have - who can all be exhilarating on their day - there are clearly not enough who can grind out wins and Nick a goal from nothing when we're playing poorly.
Armstrong, Murphy, Cole etc are all wonderful when the games are open but when they're tight affairs it is only Fleck and Vincelot who seem to have the appetite for a fight, and even they have been off colour recently. Perhaps this is partly due to the formation...
