I am a little dissappointed that some posters on here are starting to turn on Thorny saying he is out of his depth and a cheap option.
Guys we have got to all stick together for the common cause of getting rid of Sisu.
Thorny can't be blamed for the current results when he has no choice but to put out a team of teenagers.
He has been lied to by Sisu also they said the same budget as last year was available !

I agree that his hands are tied in terms of personal but I don't understand his reluctance to make subs sometimes.

It was blatent that Palace were going to hit his hard in the final minutes tonight, once they scored it was certain they would win.

McPake should have been put on just to firm us up a little bit at the back. An extra head, bit of experience and somebody to put his body on the line.

Even Alex Ferguson would struggle to keep this squad up!

One thing remains vital that no matter how pissed off we all are Thorn and the team still have our 100% support

Agreed, I can't believe some of the posts I've seen on here about Thorn, he was the fans choice at the end of last season.
I'm sure with a budget Thorn would be doing a great job now but instead he's been given nothing.

No problem with thorn at all. Fergie would struggle here. Our problem is investment or lack of it. Thorny has my %100 support.

I have to agree with this. Sometimes you just have to get tough and McPake would have kicked a few if he had too to secure that win. Should have immediately took the full back off and put McPake in there....

I really hope he isn't made the fall guy.

He's too fat for that. I reckon if they do a remake they would go for more of a Brad Pitt in the Lee Majors role

Im concerned Thorn may just jack it in.

He's been royally fucked over and the frustration is clear in every interview he gives

Must be tough to continue with zero resource and support

I wouldn't say I trust him as such as he is completely unproven as a manager. I do however back Thorn the man and wish him all the very best

Even if he took ROD off for McPake, extra head in defence!

This whole situation is nothing to do with Thorny. His hands are tied,he has no money to spend, his squad is of equal size to a village side, and he's told that the bosses think he has a good enough squad to do well in this league.
This hole we are in is down to the owners, full stop.
I hope to god that they finally realise they are shit at running a football club, and they should stick to things they know a lot better.
For all our sake SISU please admit you've got it badly wrong, and have some dignity and decide this was a bad experiment to do in the first place.Just leave by the back door and let someone who knows how to run a football club takeover.Your time is up SISU, thankyou for trying, but please stick to something you know bettter next time, just go now and leave us in peace.

Goodbye SISU and good luck ,but never never come back into football again.

I think Thorn has worked wonders already to be honest. For us to be even challenging in games is a miracle. I mean look at our team three 17 years olds and one 18! He has done the very best with what he has got and so it proves we really do need some proper backing and investment. So on Friday, when the hoff has his meeting with you, please, just fuck off sisu

I couldn't agree more. Thorn showed he could do it last season and I'm sure he'll turn things around. I just think he needs to play his strongest team at the moment. He has experience on the bench and he should use it. He is potentially our best manager for years. Dare I say, since Black?

If Thorn walked Sisu would just appoint Steve Harrison.

Then if Harrison walked, they would appoint Oggy. Oggy walked it would be Lee Carsely.

And then eventually it would get down to one of us!

AT could not do right at the moment with some people. Some say he should have taken off a striker and put an extra defender on. So what would have been said if the result went the same way? Bad move as it put us on the back foot? Sitting back too deep? Even less chance of sealing win?

Unless we win he will be taken at being at fault by some people. He is doing a good job considering what players he has got. Get real. If he ever gets to sign a few players he wants and we still do crap then it will be more his fault than what it is now.

I'm a huge fan of Thorn but for fucks sake play our best fit centre half (McPake) and move keogh to right back! It's one less kid in the team then

100% behind Thorn. Somebody else mentioned Eric Black and I also agree that he has the potential we have lacked since Black was sacked. I just hope Thorn sticks around with us. If we were to be taken over and Thorn was given the boot I could see many angry Cov fans repeating the 'Black Sunday' approach but instead of wearing black we could wear the Crown of Thorns.

We could hold some sort of Stigmata protest.

You always get people that say the manager is at fault when results go wrong.

But Thorn is doing all he can with the thin squad he has, he has got them playing better football. I am behind him 100%

Just think that Juke needs help up front and we would score more (or at least score!!)

AT might be an ex-player and an ex-chief scout but some people forget that he has little management experience and is learning the job as he goes along. It is the bad times that make the man not the times when it is easy.......... give him time.

We need to stay behind Thorn and direct our anger at the people who have caused this mess. The best thing that could happen for SISU is for the fans to start blaming Thorn and not them and the board.

This mess is down to more than SISU

If Thorn was to walk, I wouldn't blame him... he's facing tough challenges ahead with his hands tied behind his back. But he comes off as the sort of guy who wouldn't walk away from a situation like this; I reckon he'll stick it out and do his best with the resources he has. SISU OUT!

Only criticism of Thorn is not making changes late on.

I know there isn't much on the bench, but some players (e.g. Jukebox) looked knackered after a very tough game.

Subs would have broken up the end of the match and fresh legs may have helped, as last 10 mins we didn't keep the ball too well.

Agreed. Hes doing well with the bare minimum available, but agree with your subs comment.

His style worked very well last season, it cant have gone bad overnight. Hes missing players. That's not to say hes incapable of making mistakes as last night shown.

Criticism is healthy to a point and even Thorn can be in for some when we feel we may have done something different on the night.
That's not getting at the bloke.

Thorn has my 100% backing as I think he has a good footballing brain and can go on to be a good manager. It's important we back him and this club while he has the dressing room. Constant attack on the club, SISU, the manager and players like some on here just can't resist will only erode the confidence of the performances.
