Who’s the best comedian on here? We've got to be funny behind them.
I guess the Portsmouth team must be great comics thenI doubt he found it funny

Players don’t always have the same emotional responses to games as the fans (and for good reason). They don’t always run around screaming like lunatics after we score either. If I were him I’d have just wanted to go straight down the tunnel and forget I’d played that badly. He found it funny.
Not something I’ve ever noticed. Much like when half the team laughed after losing to Birmingham last season, it just looks unprofessional.Well he’s obviously not going to find a dire performance funny is he. People often laugh as a defence mechanism to divert from stress and embarrassment

Ive had a beer with Collins and everyone was mocking him and he was laughing along. When passing him a beer it was remarked 'actually be careful you'll drop it'
How do you know he was laughing about letting in the goals? If I were him I’d have just wanted to go straight down the tunnel and forget I’d played that badly. He found it funny.
What do you think the Portsmouth lot were telling him? Knock knock jokes? How do you know he was laughing about letting in the goals?
I was at Portsmouth. Heard the abuse being thrown at him after the heavy defeat. There's no way he was laughing about that. Weird to think he was.
I think it's time to revert to 3-5-2 again now.The crux of it is, there's no getting away from the fact losing Dovin is a huge blow for us not just this last 7 games, but for the first quarter of next season (if worst case is indeed confirmed by scan)
Collins and Wilson are nowhere near the levels of Dovin. He has won us points on his own, we can all agree with that, whereas Laurel and Hardy have a habit of costing us points
None of us want Collins or Wilson inbetween the sticks (personally feel a yoghurt pot would command the box more) but hopefully this induces the defence to be as rock solid as they can to ensure the keepers now have the bare minimum work to do (hopefully Binks is nowhere near the side agin this year)
With Kitching back Saturday and probably DaSilva back in, that will hopefully improve things

We will need the extra CH, and Wilson set the clean sheet record when we had 5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders in front of him.
We can also give Wright and Simms a start together which hasn't happened under FL as yet, maybe he can get a decent tune out of them up front with Rudoni breaking forward from midfield.

Absolutely this. Spot on.One thing I took from our wilderness years and the seasons since is the difference fan support can make and the detriment boos/abuse/moans have.
During our darkest days, fans had the right to be angry but it was clear a lot of decent players found it difficult to play under the pressure of angry fans. No one took risks, players hid when they made a simple mistake.
Compare that to 2019-2021 where it was nothing but support. Players were playing with freedom. They were taking risks without fear of being moaned at. We'd go 2-0 down in the first half and the stadium was fully behind the team.
If Collins comes in next Saturday thinking 'I am going to get dogs abuse if I make just one mistake', you have big problems.
We need nothing but support for all players and the staff for these 8 games.
Dear Rich, I wrote but you still ain’t callin’You should change your name to Stan.
The neediness is beyond comprehension at this point.
Also, on recent form, we havnt got the best out of Bidwell and EMC, and I think a midfield 3 of Grimes, Rudoni and Torp/Allen/Sheaf with MvE and JDS flying down the wings could stretch most teams in this division.I would for Saturday at least.
Can revert back for Hull.
But the top 3 are different animals to the rest of the league and 4 at the back hasn't worked against Leeds or Sheffield Utd.
Chinos, you've lost your head mate. What do you think the Portsmouth lot were telling him? Knock knock jokes?
At yourself perhaps, with the opposition who’s done it to you, perhaps not.Chinos, you've lost your head mate.
Some people laugh at themselves in situations like that, he doesn't find it funny. He is just trying to cope with know he's fucked up.
no, people do bothAt yourself perhaps, with the opposition who’s done it to you, perhaps not.
Of course.no, people do both
you've jumped 17 sharks in this thread
Not sure about that. If our defence was as solid as Burnley’s, I might agree with you. They can probably play with a traffic cone in goal and still keep a clean sheet. We have more serviceable backup options for Dovin than we do any other position on the pitch. You never want to lose an obvious starter to a serious injury, but Dovin may be the most replaceable of all of them - this is not the season-ending blow it’s being painted as.
Kitchen,DaSilva whoever. If a shot is hit with any pace either side of Collins,he is directing traffic. The crux of it is, there's no getting away from the fact losing Dovin is a huge blow for us not just this last 7 games, but for the first quarter of next season (if worst case is indeed confirmed by scan)

I know this is going to sound completely alien to a few people on here, but maybe, just maybe, we should get behind whoever is in goal, and perhaps show some confidence in them.Kitchen,DaSilva whoever. If a shot is hit with any pace either side of Collins,he is directing traffic.
And if an attacker so much as looks in his direction, he is off.
(Must look good in training because he knows he won’t get touched).
And the end of the day, these are our own players.I know this is going to sound completely alien to a few people on here, but maybe, just maybe, we should get behind whoever is in goal, and perhaps show some confidence in them.
At least to start off with.
Instead of giving off a sence of dread and waiting, (or in some cases wanting) a fuck up to happen.
If it came to it. Dovin is the only one of our keepers who could save a penalty!!
Pretty sure the contact would probably have been the same. I thought the same, but when you watch back I don't think he would've avoided it.Urgh why didn't he just fucking clear the ball. There was literally nothing to gain from trying to do what he did
If it came to it. Dovin is the only one of our keepers who could save a penalty!!
Yeah, it’s not normally the done thing to will ill on another to these extremes but I’m 100% on board with this. That fucking wanker Campbell. Make no mistake, knew what he was upto and some on here fawn over the way they play. Horrible cunts and always will be, hope their entire team get their ankles snapped.
We don't count Collins' save at Wembley then?
Wilson saved one in the League.collins saved one at Wembley
Exactly, Since lampards been here we’ve been missing important players and we’re still in with a shout, pretty sure if Collins does come in and struggles then Wilson steps in, we‘ll just have to start scoring a few moreIts next man up, nothing can be done so im sure FL will be telling the players to get on with it and get the last game put behind them. It was going to be tough for us to get promoted with Dovin, now its tougher but its still in our hands. If we are a good enough squad things will look after themselves.
As for Dovin hope its a minimal damage and he gets the best support and a straightforward rehab to come back stronger.
