Wouldn't it cost an insane amount? £20m plus to SISU for us, £35m to pay off the bondholders plus whatever the Wasps owner wants.
Would anyone really put £55m minimum to get the lot? If you want to own a football club there's a lot easier ways to do it.
I would fold them into a Chinese lantern, light it and then send it out over the Atlantic. If I won the lottery I'd take on all 3 and then kick the Wasps back to London where they belong or fold them completely!
No.
Sisu will keep asking eleventy billion for a club worth fuck all, some greasy accountant will keep Wasps going and in control of the Ricoh.
Well be having the same discussions in ten years time reminiscing about those few seasons we spent in the Championship and how James Maddison is available on a free.
Things will change regarding wasps
Ill believe it when I see it. I have no faith in the financial system around sports clubs (or any business for that matter).

Nah I'd let them stay for a while but just do some proper petty shit with them like they've made us deal with.If I won the lottery I'd take on all 3 and then kick the Wasps back to London where they belong or fold them completely!
The prevailing wind is in the wrong directionI would fold them into a Chinese lantern, light it and then send it out over the Atlantic.
See I disagree - us + the Ricoh would be worth 55m alone - see Derby sale. Add Wasps in - despite how much we hate them - you’d have a historic rugby club on the books. Throw the netball team in, take over the Coventry ladies team again, you can push for WSL spot.Agree completely, this is why I'm struggling to believe anything more than it being pie in the sky
A Coventry Sports Direct Empire?See I disagree - us + the Ricoh would be worth 55m alone - see Derby sale. Add Wasps in - despite how much we hate them - you’d have a historic rugby club on the books. Throw the netball team in, take over the Coventry ladies team again, you can push for WSL spot.
you’d Have a Coventry sports empire for around 60m
The bit people miss is that they're looking at arenas in North America used for NBA and NHL. The arenas are largely owned and operated by groups such as AEG who have enough artists on their books to ensure they are in use pretty much every night of the week and who also invest in the surrounding area creating plazas or 'entertainment avenues'.There is a myth that been shared around by a lot of people for a very long time that a sports stadium can lead to regeneration.
Can thank Dave Nellist of all people for the general stuff being tied even closer to the Arena. There is a myth that been shared around by a lot of people for a very long time that a sports stadium can lead to regeneration.

Lock them out of the the changing rooms for a game, turn on the sprinklers mid game, insert a charge for every divot they make in the pitch etc.
Really petty shit.
Only after I've broken their spirit willI allow them to fold.
Which hardly anybody would watch.See I disagree - us + the Ricoh would be worth 55m alone - see Derby sale. Add Wasps in - despite how much we hate them - you’d have a historic rugby club on the books. Throw the netball team in, take over the Coventry ladies team again, you can push for WSL spot.

Which combined loses around £20m per annum and would all require significant investment to make successful.See I disagree - us + the Ricoh would be worth 55m alone - see Derby sale. Bristol don’t seem to have an issue with itIt's unworkable, there would be huge potential for conflict. How would stadium revenues be split between the clubs; equally? Pro-rata based on turnover? Based on need? Would be be happy, if we were promoted to the PL, to share the spolis of that with Wasps, or to use money that might otherwise be ours to bail them out? Equally, would they be happy propping us up?
You can't possibly have 2 professional sports teams sharing the same revenue streams and not have one or the other feeling they are being shafted. It would be a disaster.
Rich benefactor with intent to make the city a sporting success.Bristol don’t seem to have an issue with it

In my opinion, it would be a very good solution to the current problems. A powerful group, owning both clubs and the arena, with all the commercial outlets, would give stability, security and success. In theory it would be brilliant. In practice, it would depend on the overall owners.A load of bollocks and smokescreen do we feel?
Or is this rumour that's gathering pace actually going to come to fruition?
Would someone taking on Us, Stadium and the insects actually work?

One owner would have interests in both clubs - why create conflict with your own interests?Bristol don’t seem to have an issue with it
I do not agree. It is the only solution from where we are now which has the clear potential to be a success. While it's all being bankrolled by a wealthy individual perhaps, but as a long term arrangement, it will unravel.
Your post history is going to set a few alarm bells ringing…I do not agree. It is the only solution from where we are now which has the clear potential to be a success.
