Makes me sick, bunch of hypocrites
I will be cheering on every wasps loss.
Absolutely no need to move to the Ricoh, they could've stayed in the London area, upton park was available.
I expect there will plenty of interest early on then it will dwindle when they start putting up their prices back to their normal levels of £40 per adult.

Well the remark was made by a football fan not a tennis fan. Typical remark from uneducated football supporters Always make out that Rugby fans or other sports must be gay such a homophobic view. I suppose all football supporters are just more manly.
So I was a Rugger player for 20 years why wouldn't I take offence to such a childish remark.
We will be okay if we start winning, get the fans back and get out this league.
Theres no other option know so we might as well get on with it.
just think in a few years time the only sports team left in coventry will be a rugby club from London, makes you proud doesn't it,
That's only £5 more?
I take it when wasps own 100% of the Ricoh no one will have a problem with sisu building their new ground in the Coventry area.....

And an ice hockey team from Brum.
No not proud of our owners threatening to take us out of of Cov for the last couple of years and doing it last season.
It really pissed me off to be honest.
No homophobia whatsoever. More a pisstake of the rugby 'games' you see in the boozer.
, they also seem to have a ticketing system for the Ricoh that can cope with more than 3 people trying to buy tickets. Maybe SISU can ask if they can use it!
Thought there would be initial interest but didn't think they would come close to selling it out. Are they all sold or have they not put them all on sale yet?
It will be interesting to see what the numbers tail of too after the buzz of the initial game?

If they build it that will be the end of the club for the majority of fans.

Why? I thought you were happy if a sports ub moved out if it's area so that it can own its own stadium and access 365 day year incomes?
You're vindicating wasps doing it by going to the game...

Agree Norm. 50% and I'd be alright about it I reckon. I just get the impression that some people are happy Wasps own 50% of a stadium because Sisu are wankers. No logic in not wanting your own club to own 100% of their own stadium.
Here's hoping that 50% comes off or our future is proper bleak.

But with Sisu in charge, exactly how much of that stadium would CCFC own?
The big 'local' derbies will attract substantial crowds I'm sure. The likes of Leicester and Northampton have huge support on their own and all sorts of new glory fans will spring up from round the Midlands for Wasps on these days. However it will be interesting to see the turnout for mediocre games against the likes of Sale and London Welsh ? The Ricoh is way too big for crowds less than 15,000 in my opinion and Even for the big games Wasps will struggle to achieve anything like that, it was built for the football Premiership and calculations were made on having gates upwards of 25,000 every week. It didn't work out like that did it ?
Good game in prospect at the BPA on Saturday. Cov take on a well backed and monied team called Esher { John Inverdale's crowd I believe }, looking forward to it !I think what the non duel sports fans (football/rugby) don’t grasp is what a big big deal this is for people who follow rugby. Wasps moving to the Ricoh is like Arsenal moving to the Ricoh...sure a die hard CCFC fan might say no I’m not going to watch them but everyone else in the City and surrounding area who likes football would be up there in a flash just to see all the internationals super stars on display. Rugby fans have been starved of top class sport in this city of 40 years so it’s no shock they are going to jump at the opportunity.

If they are that desperate for Premiership rugby surely these people would already be aking the small journey to Leicester to watch them play?
Yes my dad is a Cov Rugby season ticket holder and will be there Saturday. My brothers neither of which have ever been big football fans like I am, have travelled over to Leicester Tigers for years to see top flight rugby but only a handful of times a season, one of them has already said he is having a season ticket nest season. Whether I agree or disagree with the move I think it will be more succesful than people think. The first game also has the added bonus that its again London Irish and there is a large community of Irish in Coventry and Birmingham who may go just to support the away team.Good game in prospect at the BPA on Saturday. One of the things people like with Rugby is that you can have a beer all the way through the game (how ironic will that be when were sitting up there on a Saturday thinking if I miss the last 10 minutes of the first half I might get a pint in by the start of the second half!) so people don't drive and getting to Leicester by train or bus is total bollocks. I don't know anyone who supports Northampton or Gloucester and that live in Coventry so I can't comment on that. That's the thing. Coventry itself aside, the surrounding area have all had easy access to either leicester, Gloucester, Northampton and Worcester (relegated last year), for example warwickshire borders those counties.

Personally think WASPS have played a blinder from start to finish whether we like it or not. Fully exploited our own turmoil in respect to the ground, engaged with the local council and got a deal done very quickly and easily at a decent price. They knew with all of the legal action that the council would sell to another buyer other than SISU so took advantage of that.
They are now looking at the potential of the city in respect to fan base and are now benefitting from that, if people like Rugby and Football then they will have to choose one (not both). Clearly this game being the first one is goign to be another Gillingham and it will drop to a more 'usual' level but alot of those people may be city fans (or ex city fans) who have washed their hands with the club. If they continue to do well then the football club will loose them forever.
Dont like that they are here but i admire their approach...
They're as ruthless as sisu

But they get the job done, thats the difference,...
