While I'd love us to see them put their hands in their pocket, we aren't overspending like most in this division.

Derby will be a wake up call.

Given the amount of teams with potential points deductions after covid I'd say SISU are playing it smart.

Unfortunately, I don't think they are going to spend big. It's easy to say they need to go, and the majority of fans have thought this for a while. Who is going to buy us though?

He's right though. The Championship is a house of cards.

What is it with football fans calling for owners to gamble in this way? A couple of million, you could easily spunk that on one failed signing and it would make no difference whatsoever. The sooner that all football clubs are forced to live within their means the better.

We could be self sufficient with decent owners. Look at Brentford, Peterborough, Blackpool

We've put together a good squad. It wouldn't take much for us to be able to push on from this base. Don't want to put the club at risk but there's a middle ground where we can invest a small amount to give us a better chance. We're so close to being able to at least challenge for the playoffs. It's just that bit extra quality at both ends of the pitch.

I'd just like to see what the plan is for us to be able to kick on to the next level. Do we need outside investment? Is there something else they're hoping for? Our current model may work for a year or two but eventually will likely lead to relegation. Yes, football needs reforming but if we continue to be the only one operating with that model it's destined for relegation. We're probably bigger than every club in the top 6 bar West Brom, would just like us to resemble that.

We have crowds in the top 10 and expenditure in the bottom 6-the manager needs and deserves to see more from that

No change and I’d give us a couple of seasons top and we will drop down to League 1 which is about what SISU deserve

I do get that, but we seem to finally have a little stability at the club, so let's just take a breath. We could spend £5 million in the next couple of weeks and it still wouldn't guarantee anything. After the last 10 years of turmoil I've no issue with the approach we are currently taking. At some point they might need to take a few risks, but I'm not sure that time is now. Making the playoffs, let alone progressing through them, is a huge ask from here anyway, let's not kid ourselves.

It doesn’t need much more. Maybe £3m in the summer instead of £2m like the last couple. A bit more on the wage bill to give up more depth of quality. We aren’t a million miles away. And Robins won’t last forever. Next season is a big one for me. Survive then upper middle table is fair enough but next comes solid top 8.
