I wasn't used to big crowds !Bet that's you going the opposite way to everyone else lol
...onwards & upwards PUSB
You must fuckin love it now then.I wasn't used to big crowds !
I honestly believe that's me in the short trousers and pop bottle! (left foreground).... Edit: Actually, no, it can't be me. I was 14 at the time and wouldn't have been in short trousers!
Never say never
I was at the Spion Kop end. Sat on the edge of the pitch by the old white wall!Yes. I was twelve sat behind the goal at the covered end that became the West End. We kept running on after our goals, and at the end of the game. What a day that was 51,000 inside and it was said 20,000 outside.
It was you Houch you hit the Wolves player with your R.Whites lemonade bottle !I honestly believe that's me in the short trousers and pop bottle! (left foreground).... Edit: Actually, no, it can't be me. I was 14 at the time and wouldn't have been in short trousers!
They only turn out if we are playing Crewe, oh the glory, all that really proves isFunny how people say we could never get full houses, what about all these glory hunters that are mentioned every other day on here, wouldnt they want to come along if we were successful or is that just another myth.
Well you'll have to ban me then, because I was one of them.ban them !!
Just spoke to Tim Fisher and he is going to ban everybody with the retrospective action unless they turn up in the same outfit they had on then and with the same hairline.
Never say never
Rally One Two Three and touching up the mannequins in Woolworths.
I got barred from Woolies in town for talking to the mannequins. The Woolworths in Bell Green had some very gawk-able ones. Ooosh.
It wasn't just the talking Otis...it was the fact you were getting yourself off while talking dirty to them!I got barred from Woolies in town for talking to the mannequins.
Did that add to the pleasure of the moment?Thought I would get away with it, but got fingered by the security guard.
I don't think people write off our potential but I doubt we would ever get crowds that size now. There are just too many distractions. In those days what else was there to do?

They are indeed.Aren't average crowds (and the city's population) bigger now? (Genuine question I thought they were)
27k is easily achievable with owners who have a desire for success and the means and ability to get us to the premier league
We never did average 40k but got a fair few 40k crowds.Yeah circa 25K would be great. I was saying i doubt we would ever average 40K again.

Yep. Its all Wasps fault. My mistake. I still don't think we'd get over 40K. We couldn't anyway if we stayed at the Ricoh and certainly won't if we move. I reckon Wasps and other distractions have scuppered any chance of big crowds on a regular basis.
If they had not come here CCC would have given us the stadium by now.
True, but they would probably have given it to new owners. New owners who would be attracted to a team with a stadium available. Not now. Still, it's not all bad. You can see Top Class Rugby. Nothing else matters.
Firstly Sisu would have been the ones obtaining the stadium off CCC.
Secondly do you really think the stadium should be given to the owners of CCFC ?

Big cup games only. Man U in the quarter final of the cup and I reckon you could get 40,000.My mistake. I still don't think we'd get over 40K.
