What exactly are we blaming who?
The club has installed a 'blueprint' for the type of football we play and that strategy has been installed in all teams at the club.
It does take time to recruit the right players for the right positions, and it takes time for the players to adapt and get confident in their positions.
This strategy change is something I have called for a long time, so obviously I am very pleased and I accept it takes time before we will see the benefits.
The club now gives the academy players a lot of game time. Not just as substitutes at the odd cup game, but as regular team players. This is something many, many posters on here has advocated for as long as I remember reading on this forum.
It does take time for very young players to adjust to the fact they are being judged every game on par with more senior players. Remember Ben Turner? The first two seasons he was really getting some abuse from the 'loyal faithful fans'. (Oh, that includes me as I believed he was slow and clumsy and cost us many points). But when he left ...!
We have been hit by a few injuries and especially Reda's suspension and injury combined with Frank Nouble's injury is hurting us.
The injuries have forced SP to shuffle a bit from game to game the last month. That means he is not fielding the same (mostly) team week in week out like in the beginning of the season. That doesn't help either.
If we should actually blame somebody, then let's blame ourselves for not being patient and expecting miracles in spite of what I mentioned above.
is the loan window still open, cos if Nouble, Johnson and any others are so injury prone for such long periods, surely we need to draft in replacements and maybe dump them asap.
before the flak hits,I know it's not popular to have a go at Reda but fuck me he's missed more than he's played, we don't have time to wait and see if he will get back before Christmas, same for Frank let him go and use his wages to sign a striker we can call ours.
What we do need to remember is we had a complete overhaul in the summer so the squad is gelling together still.
We need to take a step back for a few seconds. Pressley is trying to completely revamp the club from top to bottom - everything about the culture, mentality about us for the last 25 years has been negative and apathetic.
how is Southamptons "gelling" getting on ?, surely they have a lot harder task, competiting in the premier league after losing most of heir best players ?
Team from 12 months ago v Wolves
Murphy, Adams, Webster, J Clarke, Willis (Phillips 82), Thomas, Baker (c), Moussa (Manset 79), Fleck, L Clarke, Wilson
Of the 13 that played only 6 still at the club, constant change defeats any ethos / improvements in playing style that SP might be trying to introduce.
You also have to ask, how is the midfield going to gel with the ball winning midfielder we don't even have in our squad?
A team can gel, but it can only gel if you have the right players and then those players gel given time. A team that is missing some of the players it needs to work, is never going to gel because those very players it needs are missing.
We lack physicality. Unless all our squad is going to bulk up like crazy for the rest of the season and in training someone teaches players to tackle who can't tackle, then we are going to struggle big time.

every single one of those starting players who have left would have improved our current side.
Well from what I have seen the list of blame for our current form must lay on:
- The players
- Steven Pressley
- Sisu
- The tea lady
- Ray Ranson
- Nostradamus
- God
- Conor Thomas

You leaf the tea lady out of this mess.

Most of those managers have come out afterwards and put the blame squarely at the doors of the owners
That's very hard to argue with
Ah he didn't know what he was talking about so ignore thatApart from Robins.

I thought he talked a lot of sense, post game at least.
Didn't always agree with his comments after a game, but more often than not I did and if we weren't good enough he would say so.
A number of times now when we have been awful Pressley has come out and said we played well.
Apart from Robins.
Did Thorn slate the owners after going off into his own successful management career?
Did he come out and slate the owners when he left?
Not sure what point your trying to make but if its that AT did not blame the owners.
He actually had the balls to do it when he was still here.
Which I think may have contributed to his sacking after 3 draws

The point I am getting at is asking what was said, to remind us.
Thorn is more culpable for the situation we are in than SISU or any previous or post manager. His pisspoor selection, tactics and man management got us relegated when we had a squad and league position that should have easily stayed up.
I wouldn't go as far as that about SISU and other managers but he did have a hand in relegation but then again Fergie couldn't have kept us up that season.
Lol. I love that quote.
Is this a serious post , i disliked thorn massively as a manager , but he actually did have a very inexperienced squad , we were favourites from pre season to be relegatedThorn is more culpable for the situation we are in than SISU or any previous or post manager.
