City U18's youngster given a squad number, I would anticipate for tonight's game against Rotherham, of all the lads in the U18's Ivor Lawton potentially could be a first team regular one day.

Any more info? I love to hear about the kids coming up. Hope we get a quick winger through, shame Davis and Cain never stepped up.
To be honest, that's all. He regularly tells me about his performances but when it's a relative you forgive them any (possible) bias. We will no doubt be discussing this latest development a little more enthusiastically tonight on night shift.

He has the most 19th Century name of any 21st Century footballer I've ever heard of. I'm expecting a handle-bar moustache, hob nailed boots, a cloth cap and sepia-tinged pictures.

I was thinking of Davis the other day and how like Christie he is/was but with a hell of a shot on him ,its a funny old game though as he now resides in the league above us,not sure who with Yeovil???

You're right with your first sentence. However, why did you feel the need to include your Christmas present wish list in your second?

Yeah, Yeovil. He's always looked good for Oxford and Northampton whenever I've seen him and has scored some absolutely screaming goals. I always rated him, but he's had one hell of a lot of injuries. If it wasn't for that, I think he'd have progressed more. Never forget when he came on as a sub and tore a side to pieces with one of the best dribbles for City since Huckerby left, I think setting up a goal for Dele?

Good to see you back btw Wingy. I might pop around here more often now :)

I think we should have persevered with him ,but were in the league above with managers who wanted to flash the cash, but fast 6ft 2in and thunderous shot ,remember that goal V Celtic in Shaws testemonial.

Exactly, one of those who would have flourished if he'd come through this season under Pressley. As it was, he was bombed out as part of Coleman's "I've never known a club with so many left-footers, it's ridiculous" clear-out.

Played at Cov from U10 or 11 I think. Very quick, tenacious and an intelligent passer. Got to be better than Barton if he can strengthen up a bit.
